Post-Workout Compression Marks
This is what my legs look like after training in compression.
For sport, I wear Solidea | Gravity Free®️ compression, which has a textured fabric designed to provide a massaging effect while I move.
After exercise, that texture leaves these temporary marks on my skin — especially after a longer session.
And yes… the socks are dirty because today’s workout included running through the woods. 🌲😅
For me, compression is part of my movement routine, but every body is different and compression should always be chosen according to your individual needs.
I’m curious:
What do your legs look like after training in compression?
Do you get marks like these too?

Part of my preparation for my 4th lipedema surgery on 20 October 2026. 💜
For me, surgery preparation is not only about exercise, compression or lymphatic care.
It also includes the medical and integrative support that is part of my individual pre- and post-operative protocol.
Ozone therapy is one of the supportive therapies I currently include in that journey, under professional supervision at Dr. Alessandro Limonta - Metabolic Center
My preparation is always personalised to my own health, medical history and surgical plan.
Because surgery is one day.
Preparation is a process.
And for me, the goal is to arrive at surgery feeling as physically and mentally prepared as possible.

New article is online 💜
Prepare for Recovery, Not Just Surgery.
Lipedema surgery happens on one day, but preparation starts much earlier.
In this article, I talk about why physical, lymphatic, nutritional, psychological and practical preparation can make such a difference — not only before surgery, but also in the way you approach recovery afterwards.
Because so many women tell me the same thing after their first surgery:
“I wish I had prepared better.”
This article is exactly about that.

One month until my 4th lipedema surgery. 💜
But my preparation didn’t start today.
It started 90 days before surgery.
For me, preparing for lipedema surgery means working on my body and mind long before I enter the operating room.
Movement at least 5 times a week.
Balneotherapy, gym, swimming and jogging.
Weekly manual lymphatic drainage.
Morning pressotherapy and vibration platform.
Anti-inflammatory nutrition.
Hydration.
Psychological support.
Integrative medical care.
Because surgery is one day.
Preparation is a process.
And the better prepared I feel before surgery, the more confident I feel entering the next stage of my journey.
If your lipedema surgery is coming up, follow me and get ready with me for your surgery. 💜

I started my Lipedema journey in 2024, focused mainly on my legs, my symptoms and my surgeries.
What I didn’t expect was to see the change in my face too.
As I lost weight and changed the way I take care of my body, my face slowly changed with me. Looking back at old photos, I can see it clearly now: less fullness, more definition, and somehow a younger version of me looking back.
The cover photo is completely natural:
no makeup, no photo filters.
Just me, in 2026.
This journey is changing much more than I expected. 💜

Compression is not simply about wearing something tighter.
And stronger compression is not automatically better.
The right garment has to work for your body, your measurements, your daily life and the moment you are wearing it.
A garment that is too tight, poorly fitted, rolls down, cuts into the skin or ends in the wrong place can become uncomfortable and difficult to wear consistently.
And consistency matters.
What works for daily wear may not be what you prefer for sport, recovery or night-time use.
This is something I have learned very clearly through my own lipedema journey: compression is personal.
The brand matters, but so do the measurements, construction, fit and the professional who helps you choose it.
The best compression is not simply the strongest one.
It is the one that is appropriate for your needs, properly fitted and that you can realistically wear as part of your everyday life.
If your compression feels uncomfortable, constantly rolls, digs in or simply doesn’t feel right, don’t assume that you just have to “get used to it.” It may be worth having the fit reviewed by a qualified compression professional.
Save this post if you are still trying to understand which compression works best for you. 💜
And tell me in the comments:
What is the biggest problem you have experienced with compression? 👇

Women sometimes contact me after surgery in tears.
And it happened again recently.
A woman who was supposed to start mentoring with me before her operation chose not to prepare properly. Only after surgery did she realise how much she had underestimated the recovery.
Because surgery is not just the day you enter the operating room.
To arrive truly prepared, you need time.
You need a plan.
You need to organise your body, your home, your compression, your drainage, your support and your recovery.
For me, that preparation starts around 90 days before surgery.
I have already been through this process three times, and I am preparing for my fourth surgery now.
I know what recovery can feel like when everything is organised — and I also know how overwhelming it can become when you are in pain and suddenly have to figure everything out afterwards.
Recovery without planning, without a clear structure and without someone guiding you can become incredibly hard.
You do not have to feel alone, confused or overwhelmed.
Let yourself be supported by someone who has actually lived through what you are about to face.
Preparation can change the whole experience.

There was a time when a walk in the forest was not “just a walk” for me.
With lipedema, every step could mean heaviness, pain, swelling, fatigue… and the constant feeling that my legs were holding me back.
Today, after 3 lipedema surgeries, I can do things again that once felt much harder.
Walking through the forest.
Looking for mushrooms.
Staying outside longer.
Enjoying movement instead of fearing how my legs will feel afterwards.
For someone else, this may look like a simple day in nature.
For me, it feels like freedom.
Surgery did not erase lipedema from my life. But it changed what my body is able to do, and it gave me back experiences I had slowly stopped expecting from myself.
These moments remind me why I chose this path.
And if you are standing at the beginning of yours, wondering whether surgery could be the right step for you, I know how overwhelming that decision can feel.
Send me a message if you want to talk to someone who truly knows what it feels like — before surgery, through recovery, and after. 💜
My surgeries were performed by Dr. Luigi Schiraldi 🙏
And yes I still wear compression. That’s also other interesting topic 😉 Here wearing Solidea | Gravity Free®️ Be You Tonic Pro ✊
