Holding space for someone’s story is a privilege we never take for granted. To everyone who has walked through our doors, shared their journey, and trusted us to be part of their healing - thank you. Your courage inspires everything we do.

Teenagers often equate “walking away” with losing an argument. To a developing brain, having the last word can feel like a matter of survival, respect, or status.
But learning when to step back from unnecessary conflict isn’t surrender - it’s emotional regulation in action.
When we teach teens that protecting their peace matters more than proving a point, we give them a skill that protects their mental health for a lifetime.
Share this with a parent who might need this reminder today. 💛
Which of these three points does your teen struggle with the most? Drop a comment below! 👇🏽
Real connection doesn’t demand explanations—it just shows up. Grateful for the people who make space for every version of us. Who is that person for you? ❤️.

As we prepare to mark National Day for Truth and Reconciliation tomorrow, we invite educators to think about how Métis perspectives, stories, and experiences can remain part of their classrooms throughout the school year.
Our Teaching & Learning team has created and gathered a collection of resources to support that work. Some are designed specifically for September 30, while others offer opportunities to listen, reflect, ask questions, and extend understanding at any time of year.
Truth and reconciliation do not begin or end with a single day. There will always be more to learn, and we hope these resources offer a place to begin, a place to return to, or another way to keep learning together.

In 1973, Phyllis Webstad, aged 6, arrived at residential school in a new orange shirt her grandmother had bought her. To her, the shirt stood for belonging. It was taken on her first day.
Today, in part, is about what was taken from children.

Friendly reminder: You don’t owe anyone the old version of you. The woman you were got you through everything that brought you to today. Thank her for her strength, and give yourself permission to step into who you’re becoming next.
Save this for a day you need the reminder.
As the day winds down, give yourself permission to put down the heavy thoughts you’ve been carrying.
Overthinking won’t rewrite yesterday, and it won’t solve tomorrow. Right now, your only job is to rest. You’ve done enough today. 🌙
