A few reflections following two workshops I led on perimenopause, menopause and midlife health and wellness this weekend. It is clear that care manifests in collective spaces where people can feel heard and seen in their experiences. Care, health promotion and disease prevention can exist within and beyond the clinic room...and information can be shared in different and engaging ways, including a fun round of jeopardy! We are so excited to welcome Laura Stott to the Rekindle Health team as a locum Registered Massage Therapist! Laura will already be a familiar face to many in Yellowknife, and we feel very fortunate to have her bringing her experience and care to Rekindle.
A massage therapist since 2011, Laura is a trusted, highly skilled and compassionate practitioner with extensive experience working in multidisciplinary clinical settings. She works with people managing chronic pain, recovering from injury, navigating stress, or simply looking for support to feel more comfortable and grounded in their bodies.
Laura’s approach is intuitive and integrative. Each treatment is shaped around your health and wellness needs, combining therapeutic techniques with relaxation and creating a supportive space for both body and mind.
We are genuinely filled with gratitude to have Laura joining us and to welcome another experienced practitioner into the growing Rekindle team.
Laura’s first locum will be September 28 to October 7, with more visits to come.

We had the most beautiful flower arrangement sent to us this weekend, thoughtfully created by Let Me Knot and gifted from a dear friend who could not be physically present for the opening. It was overwhelming to hear the careful consideration of every detail and harvesting of local flora to create this artwork. The best part is you can still enjoy it in the clinic AND parts of it will last across seasons!
