How many of these signs are familiar to you?

I have lived every single one including making multiple meals... then I realized that the example I was setting to my boys was the food I was eating was healthy and what I fed them there was something unhealthy about it.

That is when I stopped and looked at my nutrition as a lifestyle and eating healthy vs working for a goal.

If you are struggling with finding consistency maybe it is time to chat with me to find balance and support for what matters most .. your health

That’s the beauty of Rooted in Wellness – Prep to Plate.

I know what to do but I can't stick with it.

Maybe the problem is the " sticking with something ?"

If what your doing to optimize your health is something that is different than your usual nutrition.

I hate to break it to you but it isn't going to last.

When I worked with Cheryl I loved that her goal went from a number to a feeling.

From losing 5 lbs to feeling strong and confident.

Measuring success by the level of energy and and health vs. what a scale told her.

Feeling healthier is installing habits that are going to be able to be part of your everyday.

I focus on simple and that may be boring to some, but the proof is in my clients results.

Spoiler: The scale moves in the end and your healthier!

Meal prep can be boring if we do it all by ourselves and this is part of the reason I created Rooted in Wellness.

If your a busy parent when you come to the workshop you will leave with the feeling of accomplishment and leading into less overwhelm during the busy week.

If your a senior you will have balanced meals focused on providing the nutrients you need for longevity and health. Without eating Tea and toast for the week.

If you are a empty nester this can help you navigate cooking for less people and taking the guess work out of what to make while you adjust to less mouths to feed.

Regardless of the stage of your life, Rooted in Wellness is built to leave you prepapred for the week and provide the connection that we need whether you have been a fixture of our community or new to town!

Enrolment is open until September 20 and only 6 spots are available!

Thank you to HOMEBASE Humboldt for having me run a workshop for their 18-25 year old Adultish program

We built an easy meal together and while we did that we discussed nutrition in a way that fits with the youth!

The youth left with ideas on how to build a grocery list and make 10 meals from 10 ingredients. As well as food safety and balanced eating!

They even taught me a few new things too!

Workshops are one of my favorite things to create whether it’s for busy mom, young adults or seniors.

I am looking forward to the next one!

If you have questions on small group meal preps or having me create a specific workshop shoot me a message!

If you’re exhausted at 3 PM, here’s what I’d look at before blaming your motivation.

One of the things I hear from women is:

“By the afternoon, I’m done.”

Before assuming you need more coffee or just need to push through, I would look at what happened before 3 PM.

🍳 Breakfast — Did you eat one? Or did coffee become breakfast?

🥚 Protein — Did your morning include enough protein to actually keep you going?

🥗 Lunch — Did you eat a balanced meal, grab something quickly, or skip it because the day got busy?

💧 Hydration — How much water have you actually had?

😴 Sleep — Are you starting your day already running on empty?

🧠 Stress — How much mental and physical load are you carrying before the afternoon even begins?

Sometimes we keep trying to fix the 3 PM crash at 3 PM.

Instead, I want you to look at how you’re setting yourself up from the time you wake up.

Start with the basics.

Eat breakfast. Add protein. Don’t skip lunch. Drink your water.

Then we can start looking deeper at what your body might need.

Which one would you say gets missed most often in your day?

This is often where our first appointment begins regardless if my clients is 20 or 70.

You don't need to come to me knowing exactly what's wrong or with a list of everything you think you should change.

You bring what's happening right now.

The afternoon exhaustion.
The bloating.
The cravings.
The changing hormones.
The meals you're skipping because life is busy or you are navigating cooking for one or two.
The feeling that what used to work for you isn't important anymore and you want longevity vs skinny.

We look at your nutrition, symptoms, routines and what's getting in the way—and together, we find your starting point.

Because feeling better doesn't have to begin with changing everything.

Sometimes it begins with understanding what your body is asking for.

This year I made a goal to read more every morning and here is why⤵️

I would start my day scrolling instead of focusing on setting a good intention for my day.

I was finding it more difficult to focus on retaining information

Numerous women I saw in my appointments expressed their concern with the amount of time they spent scrolling too

I was finding myself thinking about what as happen if in someone else life and not my own

I would get to work in a rush instead of settled with my day laid out

I put my phone down in the evenings and picked up fiction to unwind

I have read these books this year and while it is only 17 it symbolizes taking my own time back.

I feel less anxious and more connected

Half these books also provided education. I can use in my practise too ̇nwi̇n

This simple practise has so many benefits and it isn’t about cutting out the phone but asking what you really looking for?

So if you have seen me posting less it means I’m connecting new with in person clients and you can find me in my website to schedule yourself in for a consult.

A young mom recently came to me struggling with low energy while balancing toddlers, work, exercise and everything else that comes with this season of life.

She was feeling bloated and lacking energy mid day and having trouble falling asleep at night with her next day to do list playing in her head.

Instead of overhauling her diet, we found three realistic starting points:

🥚 Build more protein into breakfast

🍽️ Experiment with smaller, more consistent meals to support digestion

🏃‍♀️ Fuel her body around exercise instead of continually running on empty

We also looked beyond food.

I asked whether her digestive symptoms seemed worse during busy weekdays compared with weekends.

Because nutrition doesn’t happen in isolation.

Stress, schedules, rushing, sleep, movement and eating patterns all matter.

This is why my 1:1 appointments aren’t about handing you a generic meal plan.

We look at your symptoms + your nutrition + your real life and decide where it makes the most sense to begin.

If you’re tired of trying to figure it all out yourself, DM START and let’s talk about what support could look like for you.
