With permission from my kind guest… I see this far too often. I’m grateful that my guest came in to see why her ear piercing was tender, months after it was completely healed.

This debris (hair, lint, conditioner, shampoo and dead skin) took quite a while to build. The build up at the front of the earring, over time, created a large, deep hole on the front and back of the lobe piercing. It doesn’t show well in the photo unfortunately.

The best way to keep this from happening is to rinse the shampoo and conditioner out of your piercings… every time you wash your hair… for the rest of your life.

It’s also a good idea to take the earrings out (not until fully healed) and give them a gentle scrub once in a while with a clean, soft toothbrush… just to keep your piercings feeling good and looking great! ❤️❤️❤️
