think we’re seeing a really interesting shift in aesthetics right now: people are thinking less about chasing perfection and more about skin longevity.

And I’m here for it.

To me, skin longevity is about playing the long game. It’s supporting the health, strength and quality of your skin over time rather than waiting until something bothers you and trying to “fix” it overnight.

Treatments like microneedling and Sculptra fit beautifully into that philosophy because they work with your body’s own regenerative processes. Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries that stimulate the skin’s natural healing response and collagen production, while Sculptra is a biostimulatory injectable designed to gradually stimulate collagen and improve underlying skin structure over time.

Neither is about waking up looking like a different person. The results are gradual, and that’s part of what I love about them.

I think this is where aesthetics is heading: thoughtful treatments, realistic expectations and plans that consider where your skin is going, not just where it is today.

There are some people you meet in healthcare who will always take you right back to those ER shifts. 😂

I still work in a hospital setting, and honestly, I don’t see that ever changing. There’s a part of me that will always love that side of nursing and everything that comes with it.

But running into RNs you used to cry with in the ER at a MediSpa conference? Same nurses. Slightly different environment. Very different vibes.

It’s pretty special getting to grow in this career, explore different areas of medicine and still cross paths with the people who were there for some of those shifts you’ll never forget.

The best injectable work shouldn’t make you look like someone else. It should make people wonder why you look so good.

There’s a big difference between treating a face and understanding one.

Every face has its own proportions, movement, structure and character. My job isn’t to chase trends or add product simply because we can. It’s to understand what will create balance, what should be left alone and when a subtle adjustment will have the greatest impact.

Sometimes that means treating an area you didn’t initially come in for. Sometimes it means using less than you expected. And sometimes, the right recommendation is to do nothing at all.

Good aesthetic medicine requires technical skill, but it also requires restraint, judgment and a long-term perspective.

I want you to still look unmistakably like you. Just refreshed, balanced and confident in the face looking back at you.

The second no-show after we already rescheduled? That one builds character. 😅

All jokes aside, I completely understand that life happens and sometimes appointments need to be moved. But when you book an appointment, that time is set aside specifically for you, and repeated no-shows can mean another client misses out on an appointment they would have loved to have.

So yes, I’ll always do my best to be understanding and flexible… but please don’t make me type that second “just following up” email. 🙏🏼

A little courtesy truly goes a long way!

There’s just something about having your skincare dialled in, your collagen doing its thing and your Botox freshly kicked in. 😂

I’m a big believer that aesthetics should be about feeling like the best version of yourself, not trying to look like someone else. A good routine, thoughtful treatments and a little maintenance along the way can go a long way.

And when everything happens to be hitting at the same time? You’re allowed to feel yourself a little.

A little maintenance never hurt anybody… except maybe the joint bank account.

In all seriousness, aesthetic treatments don’t have to mean dramatic changes. I’m a big believer in subtle, intentional treatments that enhance what you already have and help you feel your best.

Consider it self-care with standards. 😉

In aesthetics, more is not always better. One of the most valuable skills an injector can have is the ability to pause, reassess, and make decisions that serve the long-term health of your skin, not just the short-term result.

Every treatment has a purpose, and every face has a unique rhythm. Sometimes that means adding support with neuromodulators or filler… and sometimes that means taking a step back to let your tissues settle, to focus on skincare, or to let previous work fully integrate.

Great outcomes aren’t created by chasing trends or overcorrecting. Rather, they’re created through a balance of science, restraint, and respect for your natural anatomy.

If you’ve ever wondered whether you need a treatment, or whether it might be time to let your skin rest, that conversation is just as important as the appointment itself. My goal is always to guide you with honesty, intention, and a long-term plan that keeps you looking refreshed, balanced, and authentically you.

Social media has gotten a lot wrong about beauty.

It often tries to fit everyone into the same box, as though there is one standard we should all be aiming for, one treatment plan we should all be following and one version of aging that is somehow more acceptable than another.

Celebrity culture has only amplified that pressure. When you constantly see people spending thousands, or even tens of thousands, of dollars on treatments, skincare, maintenance and procedures, it can start to make those choices feel normal or necessary.

For most people, that simply is not real life.

There are aesthetic options at many different price points, and a good provider should be able to help you understand what makes the most sense for your goals, priorities and budget. Sometimes that means investing in a simple skincare routine. Other times it might mean choosing one treatment with a meaningful benefit and leaving the rest alone.

There is also nothing wrong with deciding that now is not the time.

If your money needs to go toward groceries, your mortgage, your family, your health or simply living your life, your wrinkles can wait.

Aesthetic medicine should feel like a choice, not another financial obligation created by social media. Beauty is personal, budgets are personal and treatment plans should be too.
