Sometimes the people we become the most attached to aren’t necessarily the people who complete us — they are the people who temporarily reflect back to us a part of ourselves we haven’t fully recognized yet.
Our beauty.
Our creativity.
Our confidence.
Our sensuality.
Our freedom.
Our magnetism.
Our courage to be seen.
And when we haven’t learned how to access those parts of ourselves internally, it can become incredibly easy to believe that the person reflecting them back to us is the source of them.
So we chase the reflection.
We chase the attention.
We chase the chemistry.
We chase the potential.
We chase the version of ourselves we seem to become in their presence.
Until eventually, the work becomes something much deeper: coming home to yourself.
There is a particular kind of freedom that happens when you no longer need another person to validate the parts of you that you have finally learned to embody.
You can appreciate what someone awakened in you without needing continued access to them.
You can honour the connection without remaining attached to the reflection.
You can love someone without abandoning yourself to be loved by them.
And sometimes, what feels like “losing your spark” is actually the opposite.
Maybe your energy is simply no longer being given away to every person, fantasy, connection, or unfinished story that once made you feel temporarily seen.
Maybe your magnetism is returning home🦋
This is a theme that comes up often in my Soul Guidance Sessions — understanding the deeper patterns beneath our relationships, attractions, attachments & recurring emotional experiences, so that you can begin to hear what your own soul is actually asking of you.

Sometimes that means unpacking a relationship. Sometimes it’s navigating a major life transition. Sometimes it’s getting brutally honest about the choices we’re making & why we’re making them.
This particular conversation is with my friend Bri & it touches on dating, discernment, celibacy, healing, integrity, double lives, choosing a life partner & why I’m intentionally moving much slower than I used to.

We were talking about dating again after doing the kind of healing that makes you realize you can’t just choose someone because you have chemistry with them. You have to choose someone based on character, integrity, consistency, emotional maturity & the life they’re actually capable of building with you.
Bri shared two stories that honestly made my jaw hit the floor— women who thought they were in loving, committed relationships… only to discover that the men they trusted were living completely separate lives behind their backs. Multiple women. Multiple relationships. Entire double lives😵💫.
And that’s part of why I move the way I do.
I’m not “too picky.” I’m not moving slowly because I’m afraid of love. I’m moving slowly because I understand the consequences of choosing the wrong person.
We live in a dating climate where people can curate an entire version of themselves for you while simultaneously living another life behind your back. So yes, I’m going to observe. I’m going to take my time. I’m going to pay attention to patterns, not promises. I’m going to watch how someone moves when there’s not
