Iron Edge is truly a collective space of just that mixed through all our talents, even in daily life.

So as part of this wonderful little community and surrounding areas, we at Iron Edge try to support those who maybe get forgotten or lost among the bigger/louder groups out there. This holiday season we’ve decided to support Misty Creek Dog Rescue, and hope that by raising funds, taking donations of all sorts, and sharing their info, that at least some of the burden will be lifted during these hard times. Times that find our shelters overflowing and rescues out of resources.

Founded in 1998 as a no-kill shelter, Misty Creek Dog Rescue is one of many volunteer-run shelters in Western Canada shouldering the burden of the thousands of animals who are abandoned, abused or surrendered every year.

Misty Creek Dog Rescue takes in dogs from pounds, reserves, other shelters and voluntary owner surrenders providing them with medical care, vaccinations, and behavioural training with the aim of finding them forever homes. Because of the strict no-kill mandate, dogs may stay at the shelter for years until they are successfully placed with a suitable family ❤️🐕

We have a giant donation box set up under our little tree ready for your donations, and a collections box as well if you’d rather donate financially.
