Violet leaf.

Cool, green, and softly metallic, it evokes rain-soaked gardens, crushed stems, and the quiet stillness beneath a forest canopy. Unlike the sweet scent of violet blossoms, the leaf reveals a wilder, more contemplative side.

Our Egyptian violet leaf absolute brings this living green character to Viola Amicorum, Forêt du Pétrichor and The Ruler, adding freshness, depth, and the feeling of nature just after the rain.

Viola Amicorum
Batch VA26-2

Inspired by the powdery violet perfumes of the Victorian era, candlelit salons, and the quiet rituals of friendship, Viola Amicorum is a tribute to devotion, nostalgia, and the beauty of shared moments.

Created in collaboration with Holocene Holocene Distilling Project Crème Violette, the perfume carries subtle echoes of blueberry brandy, cognac absolute, and oak barrel accords—an homage to the artistry of local distilling and winemaking that quietly enriches its floral heart.

This newest batch has not been reformulated. Rather, nature has revealed a different facet of itself.

The Egyptian violet leaf absolute in Batch VA26-2 speaks with a little more clarity, lending the opening a luminous green freshness. Woven together with lavender and a whisper of anise, it creates the fleeting impression of a Belle Époque absinthe apéritif—cool, mysterious, and gone almost as soon as it appears.

As the fragrance unfolds, soft violet petals, heliotrope, mimosa, delicate woods, and warm tea-like nuances settle into the nostalgic, powdery heart that has always defined Viola Amicorum.

Each botanical harvest has its own quiet personality. This batch simply lets the violet leaf tell a little more of its story.

Now available in 30 ml.

This is where Slow Perfume begins.

Mimosa absolute.

One of the things people often ask me is why my perfumes take so long to make.

This is one of the reasons.

Many of the botanicals I work with don’t arrive as perfectly pourable liquids. They arrive as sticky absolutes, thick resins, waxes, and tars that have to be gently warmed, softened, and worked before they can even become part of a perfume.

That’s why I call what I make Slow Perfume.

Sometimes it can take days—or even over a week—to prepare, blend, filter, a single batch. Maceration and aging for another 3-4 weeks. Even when I’m making the same perfume again, every botanical behaves a little differently.

Mimosa absolute is produced from the tiny golden blossoms of Acacia dealbata, originally native to southeastern Australia and now grown in places like southern France, Morocco, and India for perfumery. Despite its bright yellow flowers, its fragrance is surprisingly soft—powdery, honeyed, with hints of violet, warm hay, almond, and delicate green notes.

It’s one of the most challenging materials to work with, but also one of the reasons I fell in love with botanical perfumery. I get to begin with the raw plant itself and slowly watch it become part of a finished fragrance.

You’ll find mimosa woven into Viola Amicorum and Governor’s Garden, where it adds a quiet golden warmth to the floral heart.

Per Fumum

The word perfume comes from the Latin per fumum—“through smoke.”

Long before fragrance was worn on the skin, aromatic woods, herbs, and precious resins were offered to the air. Smoke carried scent, memory, and intention, transforming spaces through ritual.

That ancient tradition became one of the inspirations behind Ritual de cérémonie, our limited edition edp botanical perfume.

Ritual de cérémonie.

Born from our beloved Ritual perfume oil, Ritual de cérémonie is a reimagined botanical perfume—created to explore the ceremony beyond the ritual itself.

Inspired by the same spirit of sacred resins, ancient woods and quiet contemplation, this new composition unfolds with greater radiance, depth and presence. Familiar in soul, yet entirely its own, it lingers like candlelight on warm timber and silken incense drifting through still air.

Handcrafted in small batches using traditional botanical perfumery techniques.

Meet The Sage.

Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) has been treasured for centuries, gathered beneath midsummer skies, woven into wreaths, burned as fragrant incense, and tucked beneath pillows to inspire vivid dreams. Named for Artemis, goddess of the moon and wild places, it has long been one of the great herbs of the apothecary.

At Flore, many of these botanicals begin in our own garden. Mugwort already finds its way into our Moon Garden collection, where it lends its cool, green, quietly mystical character to the fragrance.

Now, we’re exploring the plant in a new way.

The Sage is an upcoming botanical creation featuring organically grown mugwort, rosemary, white sage, and sagebrush from our garden, joined by farm-to-bottle holy basil and sweetgrass sourced from trusted organic growers. Inspired by traditional herb gardens and old-world plant craft, it celebrates the aromatic beauty of these remarkable plants and the simple ritual of bringing the garden into everyday life.

More will be revealed soon.

Sacré Été is back in stock.

Italian lemon glows through a warm heart of rose, frankincense and myrrh — luminous, softly resinous and quietly sensual.

It carries the feeling of a late-summer afternoon: sun-warmed petals, golden light resting on the skin, and a gentle depth gathering beneath the brightness.

A classical rose perfume softened by heat, shadow and time.

Two fragrances. One coastline.

Sombrio and Flores Island were both born from Vancouver Island and the wild Pacific coastline. What’s fascinating is that they actually share many of the same ingredients—ambergris, oud, roasted seashells, woods, citrus, and other shared materials—yet they tell completely different stories.

Sombrio explores the coast beneath the forest canopy. Black rock, weathered driftwood, fern and fauna, waterfalls, moss, leather, sea air and rain. A marine fougère that captures the rugged, untamed spirit of the Pacific Northwest.

Flores Island is the shoreline at golden hour. Cardamom, wild orange and cypress open into salt-kissed beach roses, while ambergris, roasted seashells, warm amber, sandalwood and oud create a fragrance that feels both coastal and timeless. It carries the quiet warmth of classical attars and amber traditions, woven into the landscape of Vancouver Island.

They prove that the same palette of materials can tell entirely different stories.

One is the quiet mystery of the rainforest.

The other is the warmth of the open shore.

Beautiful on their own. Unexpectedly beautiful layered together.
