After completing the Hairdressing program in 2014, I dove into apprenticeships and workshops to polish my skills, eventually becoming a master stylist. Now, I get to live my dream through "Becca Milani Hair," where I work independently, renting a chair in the vibrant, energetic hub of downtown Vancouver. At Silver 4 Hair, I’m not just another stylist—I’m my own boss! This setup lets me create my own schedule, set my prices, and craft one-of-a-kind looks for my clients, all while building meaningful connections and having fun with my creative side. Of course, running the show means I handle everything—from marketing and booking to managing finances. But that’s the best part! It’s exciting to grow my own brand, build an amazing client base, and let my passion for hairstyling shine in every cut, color, and transformation.

Some of you have watched my love story unfold appointment by appointment…hearing the stories, the long-distance updates, the trips, and everything in between. So getting to see your genuine excitement and happiness for Daksh and me meant more than you know.
My clients have truly become friends and family over the years, and I feel so lucky to have such an incredible community surrounding me as I enter this next chapter.

One of my favourite tricks for finding the best lighting spot in the salon:
✨ Make a little “cup” with your hand
✨ Slowly spin around
✨ Watch where the light + shadow fall inside your hand
✨ When you find the direction where the light looks the softest and brightest …you’ve found your photo spot!
As we head into the darker months, take a few minutes to figure out which areas of your salon give you the best lighting at different times of day.
Because you can create the most beautiful hair… but if the lighting doesn’t show it, the camera won’t either.

POV: you accidentally plan your own proposal. 😂💍

Story time…
It started over dinner at my sister’s house when my brother-in-law mentioned needing new LinkedIn headshots. My sister still had her photography camera, so naturally I turned it into a whole plan.. headshots for everyone, couple photos and family photos. 😂
I even checked the weather, saw Friday was the only sunny day, called everyone to make sure they were free and coordinated the entire “photoshoot.”
When it was our turn, Diksha suggested Daksh and I take some couple photos… and suddenly he was down on one knee. 🥹💍
Little did I know… nobody needed corporate photos.
I checked the weather, picked the day, gathered everyone together and essentially planned my own proposal.🙈😆

Three proposals later… I think we’re officially engaged. 💍😂
The first was completely unexpected! Mostly because I unknowingly helped plan it myself. I thought it was a family photoshoot. 🙈
The second was in India, surrounded by family and tradition.
And the third… overlooking Istanbul, with the Bosphorus behind us and apparently every seagull in the city invited. 😂🕊️
Three places. Three memories I’ll never forget.
But the answer has never changed.
