Now inviting Canadian apparel brands to explore the Japanese market.
AK JAPAN is partnering with a well-established e-commerce company in Japan that wants to bring Canadian apparel brands into the market. This is a real opening for Canadian brands curious about Japan but unsure where to start.
We handle the hard parts β market entry, sourcing, logistics, and test sales inside Japan β so you can see how your product performs before committing to a full launch.
We're looking for brands that can support initial orders of roughly 100β500 units per SKU. Whether you're an established label or a growing one ready to scale, we'd love to connect.
If Japan has ever been on your radar β or if you're simply curious β send us a message or comment below.

Did you know this little sponge has been around since the 1600s? It started out washing baby skin in old Japan, didnβt get its spongy shape until the late 1800s, and itβs still gentle enough for sensitive, acne-prone skin today. No scrubbing β just a mild alkaline layer lifting the dirt out of your pores.
Save this for your next skincare swap.

Are you washing your face too hard?
Most of us rush through it β a quick scrub, a fast rinse, done. But washing your face is one of the few moments in the day that belongs only to you.
Swipe through for the 7 gentle steps π
1. Wash your hands first
2. Wet your face with lukewarm water
3. Work your cleanser into a foam
4. Wash gently β let the foam do the work
5. Rinse thoroughly
6. Pat dry, never rub
7. Moisturize
The secret isn't more products. It's a softer touch.
That's where a konjac sponge comes in β made from a Japanese plant, soft enough for morning and night. Glide it lightly over oily or rough skin in the morning, and massage in small circles at night to care for skin that's worked all day.

Would you believe this little sponge is made from a plant that looks like a potato?
Itβs konjac β loved in Japan for over 1,000 years. The plant takes about 3 years to grow, and 90% of it comes from the Gunma region. It even became a sponge by accident, through freezing!
Itβs 100% plant-based and made from food ingredients β so gentle you could almost eat it. And unlike regular sponges, it has no microplastics. π±
Natural, gentle, and plastic-free. Watch the short video to see what makes it special π
