ESHK’s history starts in Shoreditch, where we worked and lived for many years. It was a time of exciting growth for East London as a great scene of creative and interesting people set up shop in the neighbourhood. 2005 was the year we decided take the plunge and opened our Barbican branch on Goswell Road. Ten years down the line, following the opening of our Clerkenwell, Neukölln and Moabit branches, we now have 5 hair salons across London and Berlin. The look and feel of our salons has always been important to us, we aim to design each one differently whilst still retaining a similar ESHK feel. The use of reclaimed materials, a financial necessity at first, has enabled us to inject some uniqueness and character into each branch. What we love about being in London and Berlin is the history of some locations. Over the many decades the Neukölln location for example transformed itself from cigar shop to adult cinema to now our first Berlin based branch. We are very proud of our young and dynamic but incredibly skilled stylists and assistants, it keeps us inspired and engaged with what is popular in each of the salons. Our experience blended with that of our 60 strong team from around the world, is what enables us today to offer a unique angle on trends and styling techniques. Pop into one of our salons and we’ll do the rest!

After an amazing chapter at our Neukölln salon, Mark is saying goodbye to Thomasstraße 11 and beginning an exciting new journey with us at ESHK Kreuzberg, Reichenberger Str. 82 🖤
Mark has been such a loved part of our Neukölln team, bringing so much talent, energy and personality to the salon. While it’s emotional to see this chapter come to an end, we’re so excited to see him step into this next one with us in Kreuzberg.
A huge thank you to everyone who has sat in Mark’s chair, supported him, laughed with him and been part of his time in Neukölln. We can’t wait for you to follow him over to Kreuzberg and continue the journey there.
