It’s kinda chic to start over. 🌿

I started Herbal Edge at 39, after moving to Canada, with a toddler in tow and figuring out a completely new chapter of life.

It started with a family recipe, a love for Ayurveda and a feeling that I should give this little idea a chance.

Today, I'm still learning, still making everything in small batches, and still incredibly grateful for every person who chooses to support my little business.

Maybe starting over isn't such a bad thing after all. 🤎

If dark spots, post-acne marks or uneven skin tone have been bothering you — this 3-ingredient mask is about to become your new weekend ritual. 🌿✨

I've been obsessed with licorice root for years— and once I tell you what it actually does for hyperpigmentation, you'll understand why.

Licorice root contains a compound called glabridin. It works by blocking tyrosinase — the exact enzyme your skin uses to produce excess melanin (the pigment that creates dark spots and uneven tone). No harsh chemicals. No irritation. Just one of the most well-documented natural brighteners in Ayurvedic and modern clinical skincare. Studies show it targets hyperactive melanocytes in dark spots without affecting the surrounding healthy skin. That's incredibly precise — and incredibly gentle.

Here's the full mask:

✦ 1 tsp licorice root powder → blocks melanin production at the source
✦ 2 tbsp plain yogurt → lactic acid dissolves surface pigmentation & exfoliates dead skin cells
✦ 1 tsp raw honey → draws moisture in, heals post-acne marks, protects against new dark spots forming

Mix, apply evenly to clean skin, leave for 15–20 minutes, rinse with cool water. Use 2–3 times a week.

What you'll notice with consistent use over 8–12 weeks:
→ Fading dark spots and post-acne hyperpigmentation
→ More even, balanced skin tone
→ Brighter, less dull complexion
→ Calmer, less reactive skin
→ Hydrated skin without any heaviness or breakouts
→ A gentler alternative to harsh acids and bleaching agents

This mask works for all skin tones — and it's particularly effective for those of us with deeper skin tones where hyperpigmentation and PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) tends to show up more intensely and linger longer. You deserve ingredients that work with your skin, not against it. 💚

Save this for your next self-care Sunday — and drop a 🙋 in the comments if dark spots are something you've been dealing with. I see you, and I've got more natural solutions coming your way.

What a lovely evening at Sanskriti Haat! 🤍

So grateful to everyone who stopped by the Herbal Edge table — it was especially wonderful to reconnect with old clients, meet so many new faces, and see your love and support for my little business. Good conversations, great sales, beautiful performances, and the incredible music by made the evening even more special. ✨

A very special thank you to my husband and daughter for spending the entire day with me and being my biggest support system, as always. I truly couldn't do these events without you. ❤️

Leaving with a full heart and lots of happy memories. Thank you for supporting Herbal Edge and helping me grow, one connection at a time. 🌿

Wet hair, warm oil, and five minutes with my Kansa Scalp & Body Massager — this is what a Sunday reset looks like for me. 🌿

Handcrafted from pure Kansa (bell metal) and sustainably sourced teak wood, this Ayurvedic scalp massage tool is built to boost circulation, support hair growth, and encourage lymphatic drainage — while easing tension in the scalp, neck, and shoulders. Rooted in the ancient practice of Shiroabhyanga, it works the same marma points Ayurvedic practitioners have used for centuries.

Pair it with our Onion Hair Oil for deeper absorption, or use it on the body to melt away stress after a long week.

Which ritual are you adding this to — scalp day or self-care Sunday? 👇
