Narcissists want communication to be difficult and a problem. They don’t want to understand. They want only to maintain their position of superiority. To truly understand and sympathize with someone, you must allow a moment or two to be about the other person. #narcissist #control #self #selflove #selfdevelopment #selfdevelopment #menavialanglais #mecasamenaviahiddengems 05/10/2024

It’s a familiar scene for many of us who lean towards people-pleasing: when someone pushes our boundaries, we often react in ways that put our own needs second. We might say ‘yes’ when we’re screaming ‘no’ inside or laugh off discomfort to avoid confrontation. It’s important to recognize these patterns because we silently tell ourselves that our comfort and well-being don’t matter when we ignore our boundaries. It’s time to start prioritizing ourselves! @fittingrightin ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Want help with setting meaningful goals to stop people-pleasing and breaking them down into actionable steps without getting overwhelmed? HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ⬇️ It can be incredibly challenging when you muster the courage to bring up an issue with someone in a respectful and calm manner, only to have that person dismiss it entirely. This kind of dismissal can feel invalidating and frustrating, especially when you’ve taken the time to approach the conversation thoughtfully. It’s even more disheartening when the other person deflects by bringing up an issue they have with you, one they chose not to address previously. This behavior can make you feel like your feelings and concerns are not being heard or valued. It can also create a sense of imbalance in the relationship, as one person’s concerns are prioritized over the other’s, leaving the latter feeling unheard and dismissed. ⭐️ HERE IS HOW YOU RESPOND ⭐️ It’s important to remain composed and assertive. You can acknowledge their concerns but also reiterate the importance of addressing the issue you brought up. Here is just one potential response: “I understand that you have concerns as well, and I’m open to discussing them at another time. I believe it’s important for us to address the issue I brought up first. It’s been on my mind, and I feel it’s important for our relationship to address it. Can we find a way to discuss both issues constructively?” I know it can be tough. Let me know how it goes. 😉 📲 Share if you resonate! 03/27/2024
