Saturation without Trauma… HOW? 🤨

How is it possible to achieve this amount of consistent pigment deposit without causing redness, bleeding, bruising, or excessive swelling? Here is what I do: ⬇️

1: you can’t have minimal swelling without using strong numbing w/ epinephrine. The epinephrine constricts the blood vessels making the skin less prone to reactivity 🍅

2. don’t rip the skin. As soon as you shade too fast, or are dragging/shoving the needle through the skin cause you’re gripping your machine too tight, the skin will tear. You need to minimize FORCE in the skin. Slow + loose and relax shading on lubricated skin is the best 🧘‍♀️

3. do NOT hold the skin down tight. LOOSE and LIGHT, DELICATE stretching is key. why? 👉 because if you hold the skin down, the lip tissue cannot absorb the “shock” of the needle impact. This means all of the absorbation of the hit of the needle goes directly into the most delicate tissue (the top layer of skin), instead of being diffused in the fatty tissue beneath the surface 🥊

After teaching literally 100s of students around the world, we notice the same issues in technique which causes swelling. 1. Rushing work/shading… 2. Artist is unrelaxed, tense or not enjoying the process… 3. The artist is stretching WAY too hard, it’s so unnecessary and actually worse for the outcome 🙈🙉🙊

We’re tattooing one of THE most delicate areas on the body. If you want smooth results you need to be patient and build up color in a careful, slow, and relaxed way 💖

My favourite face tattoo 👄

Shape & color are always customizable and I work with my clients to make sure they get the lips of their dreams 🥇

I love whenever I have the opportunity to do a soft, neutral light pink like this. These colours are so rare and so special to me 💖 #

Tesstattoo Lip Beautification Signature Mixture 🌸

This client flew in from the states with a beautiful canvas to work on. Her lip skin is thin (transparent + shiny), and pale. Which is one of my favourite skins to work on 🧊

She did have some dryness and some scarring so as I was tattooing to avoid trauma I made sure to tattoo through a “glide.” This helps the needle slide through easier on dry skins. Sometimes tattooing thin skin can be more difficult than tattooing somebody who has thicker because thicker skins are less prone to trauma and swelling 🥊

This is one of my all-time most requested mixes and styles. It’s a natural pink with a borderless technique. Gotta give the people what they want ✨

Fun fact : 60 % of my clientele either flies in or drives in from the USA even though I am in Canada 🇺🇸🇨🇦

My TOP tips for Ombré Lip Blush ⬇️

Loved this set! Swipe for immediately after and healed 🩵🌈

1️⃣ To avoid the colour healing too grey, I always add a few drops of a darker bright purple or red into the dark brown. This gives the darker areas life so they heal more natural and “real,” instead of flat or dull.

2️⃣ Sometimes adding just a touch of a bright, light coral in the centre draws the eye inward and makes the lips look more 3-D. It creates a subtle glow that pushes the centre forward and the darker edges back. (I didn’t do this for this client, but I often do for others.)

3️⃣ Ombré lips heal best on clients with an even natural lip tone. If the lips are uneven or very dark, this style won’t heal as softly or blended. The tattoo heals based on what you come in with so an even canvas is key.

4️⃣ Layering is everything. I usually work with three main mixtures: one dark for the contour, one light and desaturated for the centre, and one to blend the two. I’ll also add an extra-dark and extra-light shade at the end for depth and contrast.

5️⃣ Less is more. Choosing the right colours matters… overworking the lips causes redness and swelling, which can take away from the ombré effect. The right pigment depth = better, more natural results with less trauma.

6️⃣ Loosen up your grip on your machine. You’re going to have to do a lot of cross hatching and circular movements as well as use lighter and deeper pressures at certain areas of the lips to get the blend perfect. If you’re too stiff you won’t be able to adjust your technique as quickly.

FAV Lip Set of 2026 👑🏆

Why this set is one of my personal favs:
🩵 Perfect shape
🩵 Seamless saturation
🩵 Unique, dimensional colour
🩵 Finish is true to color & flattering
🩵 Clean outline
🩵 Zero swelling
🩵 Buttery finish = no trauma
🩵 No irritation or redness

I take my time because I create results that look photoshopped without a single edit. Meanwhile other trainers in industry are posting filtered work claiming it’s “raw” 😂💀

I show you real videos because 99% of permanent makeup online is altered. And NO! ➡️ bleeding, swelling, bruising or client discomfort is NOT normal.
It’s bad technique. 🤬

Trainers say it’s “expected” so that they themselves and their work don’t look bad… then artists who train under them wonder why their clients (and they themselves) are always disappointed and embarrassed of the work. I used to be that artist too until I learned better. You don’t have to stay stuck! 🌈

Watch closely who you invest in. Make sure their work is actually worth your money. Check out and find out who their students are and if they are successful too! I am SO proud of my students out there who are also LEADING industry trainers! Love you guys 🥹❤️👑
