Reveals….In the beginning (2010) I used to want to crawl under the bed to wait for the reaction of the Bride. Then I would disappear behind my kit to wait for the “wow” (2105) response. I used to initially take feedback as a direct reflection of who I am but over the years I’ve been able to understand that it’s a reflection of my work and not me. Over the years I’ve learned that it’s a service I provide, and it should be a time where the Bride can say yes or no or want changes. I’m so glad to be a safe space where so many of my brides and clients can give me feedback and we can adjust things because that’s what clients need - a place to look their best and feel heard.
my biggest advice to new people entering the industry is to not take feedback as a criticism, but a gateway to learn how to better your art.
