Strike A Balance Equine Therapy

Early mornings are worth it for views like this. My horse, a quiet pasture, and a sunrise that stopped me in my tracks 🌅🐴

WHY IS THERMOTEX DIFFERENT?
It’s more than just a warm blanket.

1.🔥 FAR-INFRARED HEAT
Far-infrared is an invisible form of light energy that goes beyond simply warming the surface. Thermotex uses far-infrared heat to deliver deeper, therapeutic warmth to your horse’s tissues.

2.💪 DESIGNED FOR DEEP, THERAPEUTIC WARMTH
The soothing infrared wavelengths pe*****te up to 2.36 inches into the applied area.

3.🩸 SUPPORTS CIRCULATION
Increases blood flow, Providing nutrients, oxygen and proteins to the area and delivering relief of pain and inflammation.

4.🏇 GREAT BEFORE + AFTER WORK
Before riding → helps warm and prepare muscles for movement.
After riding → a great addition to your horse’s cool-down and recovery routine.

5.🤲 WHY I PAIR IT WITH BODYWORK
Thermotex and massage complement each other beautifully. I use Thermotex as another tool to help encourage relaxation, circulation and of course comfort.

🐴 WHY BOOK WITH STRIKE A BALANCE EQUINE? 🐴

Your horse’s body is their greatest tool — whether they’re a high-level athlete, weekend warrior, or your favourite pasture pet. They deserve care that looks at the whole horse, not just the sore spot.

✨ Equine-specific expertise
I’m a Certified Equine Sports Therapist (CEST) with a background as an Equine Veterinary Assistant, along with many years of hands-on experience working with horses.

✨ Every horse is treated as an individual
No cookie-cutter routines here. Each session is tailored to your horse, their workload, discipline, history, and what their body is telling us that day.

✨ A whole-body approach
I look at the horse as a complete system — assessing muscle tension, movement, compensation patterns and areas that may be contributing to discomfort or restricted movement.

✨ Performance & recovery
Whether you’re preparing for competition, coming home from a hard weekend, or simply wanting to keep your horse feeling their best, bodywork can be a valuable part of their regular care routine.

✨ Continuing education matters
I’m continually investing in education and expanding my knowledge of equine anatomy, biomechanics and movement so I can provide the best possible care for my clients.

✨ I genuinely care about your horse
My goal isn’t simply to get through an appointment. I want to help you understand your horse’s body, recognize changes early, and work alongside other professionals.

Let’s Catch Up!

For all my new followers, let me introduce myself—my name is Ashlee, and I am a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist. I graduated from the Natural Touch Therapy Institute in 2021.

This year, my main focus is to continue honing my skills and staying committed to ongoing education so I can provide the best possible care for your horses. Recently, I attended Within the Layers of the Horse at the U of C Veterinary Medicine Lab, where myself and fellow body workers, farriers and physio therapist learned Applied Equine Hindquarter Biomechanics, including pelvis and sacroiliac function, as well as hind limb–hoof integration.

Throughout the year, I plan to take as many courses as possible to continue growing my knowledge and better serve both my current and future clients.

Stay tuned—I’ll be sharing more about myself soon! 👀
