Quarry Physiotherapy

Andrea and Heena had a great day at the Bergen Gardens Wellness Expo on Thursday, September 24!

They enjoyed connecting with the tenants, chatting about health and wellness and getting everyone involved in some fun activities throughout the day.

Thank you to Bergen Gardens for having us! We always enjoy getting out into the community and helping keep Manitobans inMotion.

We had a wonderful time at the Stonewall Wellness Expo on Friday, September 25! Beth Gutkin Roy and Leslie Roer were there to connect with the community and Leslie gave an engaging presentation on pelvic floor physiotherapy.

It was a great opportunity to share what physiotherapy can help with and learn more about the many wellness services available right here in the Interlake.

Thank you to South Interlake Seniors Resource and Age Friendly Manitoba for hosting such a great event!

Quarry inMotion Physiotherapy is excited to be taking part in the Wellness Expo at the Quarry Park Heritage Art Centre!

Join us Friday, September 25 from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Our Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist, Leslie Roer, will also be giving a presentation during the event.

A big thank you to Age Friendly Manitoba for hosting this great community event!

Stop by say hello, and check out everything the Wellness Expo has to offer. We look forward to seeing you!

The 46th Annual Terry Fox Run took place on Sunday, September 20, in Stonewall, Manitoba.

The Terry Fox Run has been a Stonewall staple for decades, and our Quarry Physiotherapy team is proud to have volunteered their services at the event for over 30 years.

This year, Owen McMahon, Partner and Physiotherapist, helped lead the pre-run warm-up before hopping on his bike to provide support along the route for anyone who may have needed it.

We’re happy to report there were no injuries — aside from a couple of unfortunate wasp stings!

Fun fact: Stonewall is currently sitting second in Manitoba for fundraising, with more than $24,000 raised for cancer research. Winnipeg is currently in first with just over $60,000 raised, followed by Brandon in third with more than $13,000.

Way to go, Stonewall! We’re proud to see one of the communities we serve continuing to show up year after year in support of such an important cause.

📚 Back to school, back to work, back to routine!

As schedules start to fill up again, it can be easy for movement to get pushed to the side. The good news? Staying active doesn’t have to mean finding hours of extra time in your day.

Take a walk before or after work, break up longer periods of sitting, get outside while the weather is still nice, or make time for an activity you enjoy.

Small habits and consistent movement can go a long way. 💪
