After months of renovations, permits, trades, moving, unpacking and the inevitable blood, sweat and tears... our new location is almost ready to welcome you!
The doors officially open September 17! 🎉
The Eco Alchemist runs with a very small team (and A LOT of hours!). I normally have one wonderful helper two days a week, but she’s been off since renovations began in late March. For the past several months, it’s truly been a one-woman show.
Throughout the move, I was running all aspects of the business solo while working on the new space, with some very appreciated help from my parents and friends along the way. 💗
One of the hardest parts was having to pause production while we waited for the new space to be ready. Watching stock levels drop while not being able to get into the lab and make more was...well...a little stressful. 😅
But the production pause is officially over, the lab is buzzing with activity, and I’m working my way through those shelves getting your favourites back in stock.
And now, finally, the focus gets to shift back from building the space to building the business 🙌 and I have SO many things I’ve been waiting to share with you.

After pouring so much creative energy into building this new space, it feels SO good to start pouring it back into the products I’ve been dreaming and scheming about.
This little business turned five years old while I was somewhere between permits and power tools, so I think we have some celebrating to make up for.

Sustainability isn’t just about the ingredients we choose or the packaging our products come in. It’s woven into the little decisions we make every single day.
Did you know the backing peeled from product and shipping labels typically isn’t accepted in community recycling programs?
Instead of sending ours to landfill, we collect it and recycle it through TerraCycle, along with a number of other materials that are traditionally difficult to recycle.
It may seem like a small thing, but we believe sustainability is built on thousands of thoughtful choices, many of which happen quietly behind the scenes.
Because caring for the planet doesn’t stop once the label goes on. 💚♻️

🚨 Last day for U.S. orders 🇺🇸
With new U.S. import tariffs scheduled to take effect on August 19, I'll be temporarily pausing U.S. shipping beginning tomorrow, August 10th.
Some of my products appear to be included in the new 50% tariffs, while others are not, so I'm taking a little time to understand exactly how these changes will affect my products and business before moving forward.
I've recently started shipping all U.S. orders Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), meaning all applicable duties and import fees are included, so there are no surprise charges when your order arrives. Before I continue offering this service, I need to fully understand how these new tariffs will affect future shipments.
If you've been meaning to stock up on your favourites or try something new, today will be the last day to place your order. I'll be getting U.S. orders on their way as quickly as possible to help ensure they reach the border before the August 19 changes take effect.
This is intended to be a temporary pause, and I'll keep you posted as things progress.
