Such a beautiful, girly morning getting everyone ready for the big day. I had the pleasure of working alongside two incredibly talented makeup artists, and I think together we created something truly special. 💕

One of my favourite parts of wedding mornings is watching everyone slowly get ready, the excitement building, and seeing how people just glow a little differently on days like this.

The Return of Long-Wear Glam

At the same time, the opposite trend is becoming just as popular.

Long-lasting, waterproof makeup is making a huge comeback — especially in bridal artistry.

Strong setting techniques, baking, and transfer-proof products are everywhere right now.

I recently discovered a serum-primer that makes makeup incredibly water-resistant, and during the show they literally sprayed water onto the skin and blotted it with a tissue… and the makeup stayed flawless.

That booth was surrounded by artists all day — and honestly, I completely understand why.

Two Completely Different Directions

What’s interesting is that makeup trends right now feel very divided:

Either:
— soft, radiant, barely-there beauty

Or:
— perfected, locked-in glam designed to last all day and night

And honestly?
I love that there’s no single rule anymore.

Makeup is becoming more personal than ever — choosing the finish, texture, and style that fits you, your lifestyle, and the occasion.

At the beauty show I recently attended, many artists weren’t even using powder. Instead, they focused on thin, carefully layered products to create that seamless “second skin” effect.

The goal?
Makeup that looks invisible, radiant, fresh, and incredibly natural in real life.
