You know me as your PMU artist, but here are a few things you might not know about the girl behind the needle...✨
* 1. Roots in Beauty & Hair: Before perfecting natural-looking permanent makeup, I spent nearly 20 years behind the chair as a hairdresser!
* 2. My ‘Glamour’ Days: My mom made me take modelling classes in high school (because I was such a Tom-boy!). I grew up barrel racing (and was high school Rodeo Queen in 1984!), went on to win Miss Saskatoon Blue Jean ’88 and Miss Saskatchewan Blue Jean ’89, and danced in Swinging with the Stars 2016! 👑💃
* 3. Driven by Heart & Community: When my kids were little, I volunteered for everything! I was the Founding Chair and Emcee for the Friendship Inn Festive Holiday Dinner for 3 years, served on boards for Montessori and the Mendel Art Gallery, was on the 2012/2014 Executive for the CIS University Cup, and was one of the earliest fundraisers for our Children’s Hospital after my youngest was born early and spent time in the NICU. ❤️
* 4. Outdoor & Lake Addict: Total lake girl here! (I grew up going to many lakes but Wakaw Lake was where we settled with my mom’s side of the family). When I can, you’ll still find me waterskiing, surfing (ocean and lake!), biking, hiking, downhill skiing, or traveling. 🏄‍♀️⛷️
* 5. Flower & Yard Designer: I love decorating, home design, and lush flower gardens—just don’t ask me to grow vegetables! 🌸
* 6. Party Planner & Gourmet Baker: Cooking gourmet and baking extravagant birthday cakes are my jam. Back in the day, every kid’s birthday meant a full theme, dress-up costumes, and a matching custom cake! 🎂
* 7. The Gourmet Group: Back in the 90s, I co-founded a “Gourmet Group” where moms took turns hosting next-level nights out to build deep, lasting bonds. 🍷
* 8. Daily Commute Ritual: My mom is my best friend—I talk to her on the phone every single day on my drive to work and on my drive home.📱
* 9. I grew up on a farm (grain), and I always incorporate just a bit of my roots in my decorating.
* 10. Animal Obsessed: Horses will always have my heart, but my dog Oliver is the real star of the show (as many of my clients already know!). 🐶

My lovely client already came in with a gorgeous natural shape and a really pretty natural lip tone. But if you look closely at the before, her lip border was quite uneven, which created some asymmetry and hid the true fullness of her lips.
Our goal? Keep it 100% natural, but give her that missing definition.
