What if we designed a brand-new wig around the one thing you usually don’t like about synthetic hair? ✂️

This client wanted a new monofilament wig, but she was concerned about synthetic hair tangling at the back. I suggested trying something a little different, a custom hybrid model.

Before the wig ever left the studio, I:

🖤 Removed the synthetic hair from the back
🖤 Replaced it with human hair
🖤 Kept the heat-safe synthetic hair and monofilament construction on top
🖤 Added silicone for extra grip
🖤 Installed a drawstring for a more secure, comfortable fit
🖤 Cut and blended everything together

This wasn’t a repair or an old wig restoration. It was a brand-new piece customized from the beginning around what would work best for her.

That’s what I love about The Wig Spa Canada. A wig doesn’t have to stay exactly the way it was manufactured, we can often change, alter or completely rethink it for the individual wearing it.

From a full synthetic wig to a customized topper!

For this transformation, we reused the original wig and converted it into a topper that better suits her needs.

Instead of traditional pressure-sensitive wig clips, we added a soft Velcro attachment option. This can be a gentler alternative for anyone dealing with thinning hair, tender areas or spots where clips may create uncomfortable pressure and tension.

Sometimes the hair you already own just needs to be reimagined.

The finished result looks softer, more natural and beautifully blended.
