I finally have enough room to try something new!
My mom used this Inspira 10’ aluminum quilting frame for many years before she upgraded to a Gammil Long Arm, but it’s been in storage for quite a few years. I’ve been waiting very patiently for my kids to get a bit older to downsize the playroom, not to mention I had to boot Mr. Prairie Thistle’s gym equipment out of the way as well.
She’s all set up and I can’t wait to get started!

Boxing Day = a day for adding the finishing touches to my sons’ Christmas gifts. I got the quilts back from my mom on Christmas Eve. I quickly wrapped them up so they would have something to open. They were so excited and cheered me on all day to finish up the bindings.
I recall one Christmas growing up where all my siblings opened a flannel ragtime quilt, and I unwrapped the pattern with fabric swatches 🤣😂. Sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day, but it all works out in the end.
This fat quarter friendly quilt uses only 6 fat quarters and is one of my favourites to whip up for a cozy baby quilt.
I just love the muted colours and the sweet little cars, now I’m just patiently waiting for the 2026 baby boom 💥

I found the most darling fabric at one of my favorite shops and I just knew it was destined to warm my lap. I wanted a simple pattern that showcased the classic books while giving a bit of a whimsy feeling; cue the florals, and they did not disappoint. 😍
