I prefer a semi-permanent approach because your eyeliner should be able to change with you.
Pigment is placed more conservatively so the result can gradually soften and fade over time. That gives you more flexibility as your skin, eye shape, makeup style, and preferences change.
Traditional permanent eyeliner can stay visible for many years and may become harder to adjust as it ages.
With semi-permanent liner, the goal is a softer result that can be refreshed when needed instead of committing to the exact same shape and intensity long term.
