AT 77, I’M STILL BECOMING

This week I’ve been sharing what Be Ageless really means to me.

Skincare.

Makeup.

Wellness.

Learning.

Community.

But underneath all of those things is something bigger.

I don’t want to be younger. I want to keep becoming.

At 77, I still want to learn new things, meet new people, take care of myself, give back, try things that scare me a little and discover what I’m capable of.

I’ve learned that aging doesn’t have to mean our world gets smaller.

It can keep expanding.

I’ve brought the whole week’s story together on my blog today.

Comment “Blog” below, if you would like me to send to you.

And because September is almost over, one final reminder:

There are only THREE DAYS LEFT to join SeneGence FREE this month.

Your version doesn’t have to look like mine.

Maybe it’s a business.

Maybe it’s an opportunity to explore some extra income.

Maybe it’s simply enjoying the products and sharing them with a few friends.

If you’re curious, comment CURIOUS below or send me a private message.

Your reason. Your pace. Your story.

With gratitude,
Diana

What’s the gap in YOUR business?

This week at Coffee & Collab, we did an exercise that really got me thinking.

We partnered with another business owner and tried to identify the “gap” in their business.

The woman I was paired with knew hers right away. Her website.

She had been trying to build it herself, but between running her business and figuring out all the technology, it just wasn’t getting done.

Well, you can probably guess what happened next.

I pulled out my phone and showed her my Be Ageless with Diana website and Welcome Page.

And that conversation made me realize something.

I share lots about skincare, makeup, wellness, confidence and aging powerfully, but I don't often share the behind-the-scenes tools that help me run my business.

So I wrote about it.

At 77, I certainly never expected I'd be talking about websites, blogging, email marketing, lead magnets and automation! But here I am. And I'm still learning.

If you're a small business owner, I'd love for you to read my newest blog:

What’s the Gap in Your Business? Maybe It’s Your Website.

Comment “blog” below, if you would like me to send to you.

And I'd love to know:
What's the gap in YOUR business right now?

COMMUNITY KEEPS US YOUNG TOO

When I started thinking about what Be Ageless really means, I knew skincare, makeup and wellness would be part of it.

But there’s another piece that may be just as important.

People.

Friendships.

Conversations.

Laughing together.

Learning together.

Helping each other.

Having somewhere to belong.

Over the past ten years, some of the most unexpected gifts in my life have come through the people I’ve met along the way.

This photo holds a very special memory for me. It was the night I was honoured as Ms. SeneSynergy, but when I look at it now, I don’t just see an award. I see the women, the friendships, the encouragement and the community that became part of my life because I said yes to something new at 67.

SeneSisters who became friends.

Customers who became friends.

Women I’ve met through workshops, events and fundraisers.

My networking groups.

The wonderful people I volunteer beside.

And women I might never have met if I hadn’t continued saying YES to new experiences.

At 77, I think connection matters more than ever.

It’s easy as we get older for our worlds to become smaller.

I want mine to keep getting bigger.

More people to meet.

More things to learn.

More opportunities to help.

More reasons to laugh.

More ways to contribute.

That’s another reason community has become such an important part of Be Ageless with Diana.

Because aging well isn’t only about taking care of our bodies or our skin.

It’s also about staying connected to life.

Just recently, I watched our community come together for Pawprints of Purpose and raise over $9,000 for City of Pickering Animal Services.

That had absolutely nothing to do with looking younger.

But it had everything to do with living agelessly.

Showing up.

Working together.

Caring about something beyond ourselves.

And making a difference while we’re here.

Maybe that’s one of the greatest beauty secrets of all.

Stay connected.
Stay involved.
Keep giving.
Keep laughing.
And keep making room for new people in your life.

I’d love to know:

Who or what gives YOU a sense of community?

With gratitude,
Diana

STAY CURIOUS. KEEP LEARNING.

One of the things I never expected at 77 was how much I would still be learning.

And believe me, some days technology makes sure I get PLENTY of practice.

Over the past ten years, I’ve learned about skincare, makeup, colour theory and mature skin.

I’ve learned to teach workshops and speak in front of groups.

I’ve learned about websites, blogs, newsletters, videos, social media, lead magnets and, most recently, scheduling systems.

Some things have come easily.

Others… not so much.

But I’ve discovered something important along the way:

Personal growth doesn’t have an expiration date.

This photo is a pretty good example. Here I am on another Zoom, learning with Becky and a group of women who are continuing to grow right alongside me.

And neither does curiosity.

That’s a big part of what Be Ageless means to me.

But here’s something else I’ve learned.

What I do doesn’t have to be what YOU do.

I’ve built a business around teaching women about skincare, makeup, wellness and aging with confidence.

Maybe that sounds exciting to you.

Or maybe you would prefer something much simpler.

You might want to share products you already use and love and explore the opportunity to earn some extra income when people purchase through you.

You might simply want your own little makeup membership for yourself and a few close friends.

Or maybe you’re curious about building something of your own.

And think about the kinds of products we’re talking about:

Skincare. Makeup. Hair care. Body care. Wellness.

Things women are already using every day.

There are different ways to make this fit your life, your goals and your personality.

And right now there’s one more reason to be curious:

There are only FIVE DAYS LEFT to join SeneGence FREE in September.

You don’t have to decide today that you want to build a business.

You don’t have to know everything.

I certainly didn’t.

You just need to be curious enough to take a look.

If you’ve ever wondered what this could look like for YOU, comment CURIOUS or send me a private message.

I’ll explain the different options. No pressure. Just information.

Because ten years ago, I had absolutely no idea where my own curiosity was going to take me.

And at 77…

I’m still curious.
I’m still learning.
And I’m definitely still growing.

With gratitude,
Diana

WELLNESS IS PART OF BEAUTY TOO

The older I get, the more I realize that beauty isn’t only about what we see in the mirror.

How we feel matters too.

At 77, wellness for me means paying attention to what I eat, moving my body, drinking my water, getting enough rest and occasionally reminding myself that I don’t have to accomplish everything in one day.

That last one is still a work in progress. 😂

I don’t do it perfectly.

But I do want to keep taking care of myself because there is still so much I want to DO.

I want to keep learning.

Working.

Volunteering.

Spending time with people I love.

Trying new things.

And saying YES to opportunities that excite me.

That’s one of the reasons wellness is part of Be Ageless with Diana.

I’m not trying to turn back the clock.

I’m taking care of myself so I can enjoy the time in front of me.

That’s a very different definition of anti-aging, isn’t it?

Tell me in the comments:

What’s ONE simple thing you do that helps you feel your best?

MAKEUP SHOULD CHANGE WITH US, NOT DISAPPEAR

Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought:

“Why doesn’t my makeup look the way it used to?”

I’ve heard that from so many women.

And here’s something I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older:

Sometimes it’s not our makeup that’s the problem. We’re simply applying it to a face that has changed.

Our skin changes.

Our eyes change.

Our brows may become thinner.

Our lips may look different.

And the techniques we used at 30 or 40 may not work quite the same way at 60, 70 or beyond.

That doesn’t mean we have to stop wearing makeup.

And it certainly doesn’t mean we have to become invisible.

We just learn to do things a little differently.

At 77, I still love makeup.

Some days I want a very natural look.

Some days I want a little more.

And yes, some days I still like a bit of sparkle!

I’ve learned about colour theory, mature eye placement and simple techniques that work with the face I have today.

But the biggest lesson?

Makeup shouldn’t be about hiding our age.

For me, it’s about enhancing what I already have and helping me feel polished, confident and like myself.

That’s what Be Ageless means to me too.

We don’t stop enjoying makeup because we’ve reached a certain birthday.

We adapt.

We experiment.

We have fun.

And most importantly…

We get to decide what makes us feel beautiful.

Has your makeup changed as you’ve gotten older?

I’d love to know.

And if you’re thinking, “Mine needs to change, but I don’t know what to do differently,” comment MAKEUP or send me a private message.

That’s one of my favourite things to help women with.

With gratitude,
Diana

Where do I start with skincare?

If you’ve ever looked at all the cleansers, serums and treatments and wondered what you actually need, you’re not alone. My advice is to start with a simple routine you can enjoy and stick with.

That’s why I like to begin with the Core 4: a cleanser suited to your skin, a daytime moisturizer, an evening moisturizer and EyeCrème. Once you know how your skin feels with a consistent routine, we can talk about anything else you might want to add.

This week, I’ll walk you through those four steps, one at a time. What’s your biggest question about getting started? 💜

TAKE CARE OF THE SKIN YOU’RE IN

Have you ever looked at your skin and thought:

“I wish I’d taken better care of it when I was younger”?

Here’s what I want you to know.

It’s not too late to start taking care of it now.

I didn’t really begin learning about skincare until my late 60s.

Today I’m 77, and after ten years of learning, using products and teaching other women, one of my biggest lessons is surprisingly simple:

Consistency matters more than complexity.

You don’t necessarily need a bathroom counter filled with products.

Start with the basics.

Cleanse.

Hydrate.

Moisturize.

Then look at your skin and decide what else it actually needs.

I’m also not trying to make my skin look 30 again.

I’m taking care of the skin that’s carried me through 77 years of living.

That’s a very different goal.

And it’s part of what Be Ageless means to me.

Don’t give up on your skin because it has changed.

Learn what it needs now.

Take care of it.

And keep it simple enough that you’ll actually do it.

If you don’t know where to begin, comment SKIN below or tap Send Message.

I’ll help you figure out a simple place to start.

You don’t have to do everything today. You just need to start.

Diana

WHAT DOES “BE AGELESS” REALLY MEAN?

My business is called Be Ageless with Diana.

But I’ve realized I don’t talk often enough about what those words actually mean to me.

Being ageless isn’t about pretending we’re not getting older.

I’m 77. I’m proud to be 77.

And I’m certainly not trying to look 27.

For me, being ageless means not allowing a number to decide what we’re supposed to look like, how we’re supposed to feel or what we’re still capable of becoming.

It’s taking care of the skin we’re in.

Wearing the makeup we love.

Looking after our wellness.

Staying curious.

Learning.

Laughing.

Connecting.

Giving back.

Having purpose.

And continuing to grow.

I want to look my best.

I want to feel my best.

I want to keep learning.

And yes, apparently I even want to keep figuring out technology!

That’s Be Ageless.

Not trying to be younger.

Living fully at the age you are.

This week I’m going to share more about the different pieces of living agelessly — skincare, makeup, wellness, personal growth and community.

But today I’d really like to hear from you:

What does “being ageless” mean to YOU?

Tell me in the comments.

With gratitude,
Diana

TEN YEARS. TWO PHOTOS. ONE DECISION.

The woman in my first photo was 67.

She had just started something new.

The woman in my second photo is 77.

And if I could introduce them, I think the 67-year-old Diana would have quite a few questions!

I didn’t join SeneGence because I wanted to build a business.

I joined for the sisterhood.

But over the next ten years, I learned about skincare and makeup.

I earned certifications.

I became a teacher and leader.

I made friendships.

I built Be Ageless with Diana.

I started writing, making videos and doing things I never imagined I’d be doing at this stage of my life.

And somewhere along the way, I realized:

SeneGence didn’t just grow my business. It helped grow ME.

At 77, I’m still learning.

Still teaching.

Still challenging myself.

Still giving back.

And definitely still figuring out technology!

That’s why I’ve shared my story this week.

I’ve also brought the entire story together on my blog, from joining at 67 to where this unexpected journey has taken me at 77.

Would you like to read it?

Comment BLOG below and I’ll send it to you.

And there’s another reason I’m sharing this story now.

September is FREE to join SeneGence.

Maybe you’ve wondered whether there could be something here for you.

Your reason doesn’t have to be mine.

Maybe it’s the products.

Maybe it’s some extra income.

Maybe it’s friendship.

Maybe it’s personal growth.

Maybe it’s a new challenge.

Maybe it’s a business.

Or maybe you’re simply curious.

If you’d like to know more, comment CURIOUS below or tap Send Message.

Ask me anything.

No pressure.

You don’t need to know where the journey will lead.

Sometimes you just need to be willing to take the first step.

With gratitude,
Diana
