I feel so blessed to have such wonderful clients who, over the years, have become so much more than clients. They’ve become friends, and some even feel like family. ❤️

Because honestly, getting your nails done isn’t just about making your hands or feet pretty. It’s about taking a little time for yourself, doing something nice for YOU, celebrating a special occasion, self care …having a little pick-me-up… and sometimes, there’s so much more meaning behind it.

I wanted to share this picture of my beautiful friend Jayde. From the very beginning of my nail career, Jayde has always supported my business, and throughout the years we’ve always found ways to make her nails a little creative and meaningful.

Jayde tragically lost her son, Hunter, at just 7 years old on October 18, 2021. Whenever Jayde gets her nails done, there is usually a little tribute to Hunter — an H, a heart, a colour… something that keeps him close. ❤️

This week, Jayde wanted to do “Hunter’s nails.”

One of my last hangouts with Hunter was actually giving him a little pedicure. He wanted his toenails painted blue and yellow. 💙💛 this is a picture of his little feet that day, and I’ve carried it with me through every shop I’ve had since.

Some of you may have seen that little framed picture of feet sitting in my shop and never known the story behind it.

And because Jayde is the amazing sport she is, she agreed recreating the picture with her feet against my grass wall. 😂

So here’s the little behind-the-scenes picture. Ha ha! ❤️

I wanted to share this story with Jayde’s permission 😜 because I think it’s such a beautiful reminder that getting your nails done can be about so much more than just making your hands and feet pretty.

Sometimes there’s a story behind the nails. Sometimes there’s love, memories, healing, and people we carry with us.

So to all of my amazing clients — thank you for supporting me, trusting me, and allowing me to be a little part of your stories. I’m so grateful for every single one of you. ❤️
