CANADA REMOVED OVER 10,000 PEOPLE IN 6 MONTHS, INDIA, MEXICO TOP THE LIST

New data from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) shows that 3,323 Indian nationals were removed from Canada between January 1 and June 30, 2026 making India the nationality with the highest number of removals during the first half of the year.

For context, 3,779 Indian nationals were removed during all of 2025, meaning the 2026 figure is already close to last year’s total.

Nigeria was the only African country among the top 10, with 205 Nigerian nationals removed in the first six months of 2026. CBSA data also shows 1,647 Nigerian nationals were still in the removal-in-progress inventory as of June 30.

Note: These figures do NOT mean Canada has introduced a special deportation policy targeting Indians or Nigerians. Removals happen under Canada's general immigration laws and can involve situations such as failed refugee claims, expired status, overstays and other immigration violations.

AFTER YEARS OF INFERTILITY, THIS NIGERIAN COUPLE IN CANADA WELCOMED FOUR BABIES

After years of infertility, surgeries and unsuccessful IVF attempts, Calgary couple David and Lola Oluwole finally welcomed their long-awaited blessing.

On May 7, they welcomed two boys and two girls, Josiah, Joshua, Jemima and Joanna, affectionately called the “J4 Quads.”

The incredible part? Doctors transferred just two embryos, but both split, resulting in four babies.

The babies were born at 29 weeks and 4 days and spent weeks in neonatal intensive care before going home.

Today, the family is adjusting to life with four babies, around 24 diapers a day, sleepless nights and plenty of formula 😅

Relatives from Nigeria who wanted to help were reportedly unable to obtain visas, making the journey even more challenging.

Despite it all, Lola says she feels deeply blessed, while David has a powerful message for couples struggling with infertility, which says “Don’t give up.”

There’s a bank here in Canada that has been calling me for almost 2 years now 😂

And guess what they keep calling me about? A $5,000 credit card limit.

The first time they called, I told them, Thank you, but I already have a credit card with another bank. If I ever need another one, I’ll let you know.

I honestly thought that was the end of the conversation. 😅 But NOPE. Different representatives from the same bank keep calling me. They disappeared for about 3 months, and just when I thought they had finally given up, the calls are back 😂

Now they’re calling almost every day. At this point, I’m wondering, is it by force to collect different credit cards in Canada, or are they genuinely looking out for my financial future? 🤣

Air Canada has announced that it intends to launch scheduled service to Lagos Nigeria in 2027 following the expansion of the Canada–Nigeria air agreement. The airline is currently working through the necessary government approvals.

The actual non-stop flight time has not yet been officially published because Air Canada has not announced the final schedule or aircraft for the route.

But the biggest difference would be simple; instead of flying to another country first and waiting for another flight to Lagos, passengers could potentially board once in Canada and land directly in Nigeria.

And for families travelling with children, elderly parents or lots of luggage, that could make the journey much easier and less stressful.
