Soft natural makeup suited Katie so well for her wedding day. The moody photography worked hand in hand.

Brides are always trying to find that perfect look for their big day, some want to enhance their features, some have never really gotten into makeup and feel using too much might change the way they look and some want to go all out.

My advice is to align your ideal with the photography style and the colours of your wedding. A neutral makeup look, with similar shades as the flower bouquet or decor bring the whole picture together. Note I said Neutral, not Natural, but that can be your choice as well.

As for makeup changing the features, that is a technique and style related talent, and not necessarily the function of a makeup application. I personally like to creat timeless looks, where when you look back at your wedding day pics, later in life, they look fresh and relevant to the day.

You don’t just pick your artist for the day, you pick them for a memory to last a lifetime, have that open conversation, don’t be afraid to speak your mind, and let them know what You love, and not what the trend, fashion, family etc want!
