It’s been 11 years since you passed away beside me. Loss and grief are so strange. It’s true it doesn’t go away, it just changes. I carry you in my heart every day.

You’ve missed so much that’s good in my life the past 11 years. I like to think you’ve been there through it all. I’ve gotten married, quit drinking, had babies and opened my own salon. All these things wouldn’t have happened without you being a pillar in my life. Your words shaped who I became. Your love helped me fight through my personal battles.

Omi thank you. Thank you for your unconditional love and unwavering support throughout my life while you were able to physically. Thank you for still being around spiritually to continue to guide me. I am not me without you.
