When clients say their "hair grew back in a few days" it usually isn't new growth.

Hair grows in 3 different stages
• Anagen (active growth phase)
• Catagen (transition phase)
• Telogen (resting phase)

Waxing works best on hairs in the anagen phase as these hairs are deeply rooted, hence it will take weeks to grow back in.

If you've been shaving or waxing inconsistently your hairs are all in different cycles.

So what happens?

A few days after your wax, hairs that were resting under the surface start to appear. It looks like fast regrowth but it's actually a different group of hairs resurfacing.
