🏃‍♀️ FACT OR MYTH: Running is bad for your knees?

MYTH ❌

Running often gets blamed for knee pain, but running itself isn’t inherently bad for your knees. In fact, when introduced and progressed appropriately, running can help build strength, improve joint health, and increase your knees’ ability to handle load over time.

The key is making sure your body is prepared for the demands you’re putting on it — through proper strength, gradual progression, and recovery.

Hannah breaks down why you don’t need to be afraid of running to keep your knees healthy 👟

From the boot back to running 🏃‍♂️

Recovering from an Achilles tendon repair is a process — and getting back to activity takes more than simply waiting for the tendon to heal.

Rehab focuses on gradually restoring mobility, rebuilding strength, introducing progressive loading, and making sure the tendon is ready to handle the demands of running and sport.

The biggest takeaway? Recovery isn’t just about a timeline. Progress should be based on how your strength, function, and tendon capacity are improving along the way.

A small adjustment can make a big difference! 🙌

Hannah shares a simple tip to get more out of your hip flexor stretch: add a posterior pelvic tilt.

Instead of just pushing further into the stretch, adjusting your pelvis can help you better target the hip flexors and get more out of the movement.

Try it during your next mobility session!
