Fifteen years… and somehow it still feels like it wasn’t enough. I don’t think 20 years would’ve been enough. I don’t think forever would’ve been enough.

You weren’t just a dog. You were my baby. My little shadow. My safe place. My soul dog. My greatest comfort. A piece of my heart that I never imagined I’d have to live without.

You had a million names… Nutella, Nutty, Nut Nut, Nugget, Princess, Baby… and my favourite of all was hearing Chloe call you “Nana.” It melted my heart every single time. You loved her so gently, just like you loved everyone lucky enough to know you.

You’ve been there through every chapter of my life. You watched me grow up. Before I became a mom. Through every move, every celebration, every heartbreak, and every ordinary day. No matter what life looked like, you were always there waiting for me.

I keep expecting to hear your little paws on the floor—especially this morning, waiting for your Eggies. I keep looking for you in your favourite spots, forgetting for just a moment that you’re not there.

The hardest part is knowing this is just the first day of so many days that I have to live without you.

Thank you for every cuddle, every tail wag, every kiss, every laugh, and every moment we shared. Thank you for loving me so completely for 15 years. I hope you knew, every single day, how completely and endlessly you were loved.

I already miss you more than words could ever say.
