When you’re stressed, your body releases hormones like cortisol. This can:

• Increase oil (sebum) production
• Clog pores more easily
• Trigger inflammation
• Slow down skin healing

• Red, inflamed pimples
• Breakouts along the jawline, chin, or cheeks
• Sudden flare-ups during busy or emotional periods

1. Keep skincare simple

Avoid overloading your skin. Focus on gentle cleansing (2× daily), hydration & moisture levels, and treatments with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide

2. Manage stress

and better sleep (huge for skin repair)

3. Watch common triggers

During stress, people often touch their face more, eat more sugar or processed foods, and sleep less. These can all worsen acne.
