Introducing this exceptional 2026 R. Martin Meckbach N-1 Double Top Concert Classical Guitar, individually handcrafted in Diez an der Lahn, Germany.

What makes this instrument particularly fascinating is Meckbach’s approach to the modern Double Top.

Rather than using the Nomex honeycomb core commonly found in contemporary Double Tops, Meckbach creates what he describes as a Natural Double Top, combining European spruce tops with a lightweight balsa-wood inner core— bringing together modern acoustic thinking with natural materials and traditional hand craftsmanship.

At only 1.4 kg / 3.08 lbs, this remarkably lightweight concert guitar features beautiful Indian rosewood back & sides, a Spanish cedar neck, mahogany bindings, sycamore maple inlays, a handmade rosette and Gotoh 510 Series tuners.

But beyond the specifications, Meckbach’s philosophy is ultimately about the musician: creating an instrument with the response, dynamic freedom, projection and expressive flexibility to allow the player to focus on what matters most — the music. 🎶

Built by young Italian luthier Luca Santambrogio in Desio, Italy, this remarkable concert guitar pays tribute to the legacy and philosophy of José Luis Romanillos — combining traditional Spanish construction with the precision, sensitivity and refined craftsmanship of a new generation of Italian lutherie.

At only 1.36 kg / 2.998 lbs, the instrument is remarkably light, alive and responsive beneath the hands.

Its beautiful Val di Fiemme Italian spruce soundboard produces a warm and colourful voice, with deep resonant basses, clear and singing trebles, excellent separation and rich harmonic complexity.

But what makes this guitar especially interesting is its sensitivity.

Subtle changes in touch, attack and right-hand position reveal an impressive palette of colours — allowing the guitarist to shape the voice of the instrument with remarkable freedom and expression. 🎶

More than two decades old and preserved in remarkable condition, this beautiful instrument carries the unmistakable character that has made the Conde name such an important part of Spanish flamenco guitar history.

Built with a spruce soundboard and Spanish cypress back & sides, it delivers everything we hope to hear from a great traditional blanca ✨ a bright and immediate attack, powerful projection, quick rhythmic response, and that wonderful deep, dry flamenco “growl” that gives these instruments so much personality.
