❓Did you know❓▪️Did you know our milk soaps are made with fresh milk❓▪️Did you know our milk soaps are made in 6 varieties of fresh milks❓

**Here’s the Deep-Dive: (if you’re interested)😉
▪️A pure bar of genuinely, true soap is made with lye (aka - caustic soda, sodium hydroxide) - Just like your great-grandmas used to make.
▪️The lye is commonly dissolved in water. This is called the lye-solution.
▪️You can use any liquid to dissolve the lye.
▪️My choice of liquid is fresh (not powder) milks.
▪️When using milks they can be diluted with water in your lye solution - that is optional and still makes a great bar of soap.
▪️Our soaps are made with 100% fresh milk - no water added.
▪️So when you’re bathing in our milk soaps - you’re bathing with a bar of soap intentionally made with only milk as it’s liquid. (You’re smart enough to interpret that into $$)😉 (not-to-mention how it feels on your skin).
▪️So, You ask, am I washing my skin with lye❓😱
▪️No! ▪️Something magical happens when the lye- solution is added to oils and butters (like Olive, Coconut, Shea, Cocoa, Kokum or Mango) — the lye nutralizes. ▪️In this chemical reaction of lye-solution into oils a beautiful exchange is made and as the lye nutralizes, the oils become saponified (meaning - it turns into soap)🥰. ▪️That saponification process is where we get the word “soap” from. AND that is why a pure, “true” bar of soap can only be made with lye.
▪️If a product for washing your skin is not made with lye it cannot be called “soap” — Other words are used to describe the product like “cleanser”, “wash”, “body wash”, “beauty bar” etc.
▪️Making soap with fresh milk is a slower process. More care is needed to make sure the milk does not scald (lye-solutions get really hot really fast). But I know the difference it has made on my skin.
▪️Fresh-Milk Soaps - for nourished beauty. Your skin will know the difference in every wash🥰.
