Misfit Forest

🌲🪵 The consumption of Blueberry (the pig) begins. 🙏 Thank you for the great, first experience, owning pigs. I’m sorry we couldn’t keep you. We will be grateful for each and every meal we’ve been blessed with. Even Piper despite her face while eating!🪵🌳

🌲🪵 The garden didn’t give us any large tomatoes. 🍅 Maybe those were the plants I gave away 🤔
Next year will have to be tomato sauce year. 🪵🌳

🌲🪵 I love the mix of eggs we get now! Barnyard mixed breeds. By incubating I was able to afford a few that lay different colours. Now they are all mixing together to creat egg magic 🪄🥚
What is egg magic, well…
It’s more eggs!🪵🌳

🌲🪵 From a dry dirt pot with an empty stick coming out.
This beauty has made a comeback after being bought last fall and left in a building too long.
Black American Elderberry
I can’t wait to see how much it grows next year. Hopefully with an abundance of fruit for us! 🪵🌳

🌲🪵 This pumpkin 🎃 plant is trying its hardest to escape to the the girls earth kitchen! 🪵🌳

🌲🪵 Waffles for breakfast! 🧇
Made with eggs 🥚 from our own chickens and goat 🐐 milk 🥛 fresh from Lynn this morning!
Food just tastes better 😋 when it’s homemade and doesn’t have a bunch of junk added to it. 🪵🌳

🌲🪵 We have some new shade of s**t eggs coming! 💩 😂 It’s ok 👌 they taste fine lol. I just hope these aren’t what the guy called Black Egg layers. I guess he could always say he meant black birds that lay eggs!😂 👎
Now as for this hen. 🐓 I’m sure she was my broody hen that hatched 8 chicks. Sadly only one is left after two had lasted so long free ranging.
I think she’s hiding them now 😂🤦‍♀️ Next year I’ll have a great set up for her and her babies, so she doesn’t feel the need to find a hideout! 🪵🌳

🌲🪵 Our first tomato harvest! 🍅Now the waiting game for them to turn red or chocolate 😋
I don’t think I have any yellow or orange ones in this bunch. I can almost smell my moms tomato sauce! 💙🥫
What I wouldn’t do to be back with her, eating a bowl of her sauce, like it’s soup!!! That was one of the best smells, that filled the house, after she was making something! 🪵🌳
