One year.

One year ago I started the practical part of my electrolysis schooling. I was thirty five years old, running a dayhome, single parenting, and now working for free. It was every emotion I could think of- exciting, terrifying, unknown, new. I knew I would do great interacting with clients, and I had worked hard at school, learning all about electrolysis. But one year ago, it really became real. I was putting it all on the line for my new career. It was so scary; I was going all in on me.

I shadowed my mom, an electrologist of 39 years, watching how she interacted with clients, how she rotated her body, her hands, the light, even her clients. I got to know her clients and make connections. We worked on each other and I practiced every single modality of electrolysis and played around with settings as I worked on myself and my family. Then my friends signed up to get free electrolysis. I worked on my besties as I continued learning and growing.

I worked six days a week- pushing through parenting, part time dayhome, part time work electrolysis- for ten months straight. It was a lot. But I kept moving forward, one week at a time. Sometimes one day at a time.

And now, I am here. I am a certified electrologist. Running, and continuing to build, my own business. I have clients that I love- that I feel like I am a part of their journey. Clients that bring me Starbucks, that tip me because they want to, that tell their friends about me, that share my name on threads, that repost my business posts.

I have so much more than a permanent hair removal business. I am so grateful to be a micro part of your story. To have you lay on my table and share your ups and downs. To help rebuild your confidence. To be a free therapy session (could be you or me). I am just so thankful that each of you who have supported me along my journey.

One year. So many more to come. ✨
