Often times we compare ourselves to others (especially on social media platforms) and this can bring on feelings of inferiority or superiority - either are not good for the psyche.

Being a self employed hairstylist may have its perks, but underneath this veil of beauty & hair makeovers, fun outings with friends & family (as you all may see on my posts or stories) is a lot of long hours of physical work, sacrifice, exhaustion and imperfection.

Everyone is different and running their own race to self improvement and growth. Although we may see others constantly enjoying themselves, looking beautiful and seemingly thriving & growing personally & socially, we can’t forget that behind the scenes may hold other realities.

If you haven’t already, perhaps start using these platforms as a means to get uplifted and inspired rather than socially compare.

I may be intrinsically idealistic and I’m definitely a terrible writer as I likely just rambled on about some things that nobody cares about or understands, but even if it changes the perspective of one individual just for a moment - or planted a seed in the minds of a few, I’m content & grateful.

Waiting on a regular wedding szn like....

Although colour is my craft, I legitimately miss the feelings of high energy and change of scenery that working weddings brings. The love and excitement on the day of someone’s wedding is palpable and I absolutely live for it!!!

To all of my past brides and brides to be, thank you for choosing me to take part in one of the most exciting times of your adult lives.

For all of the brides that have had to postpone, cancel or reorganize their weddings in the last year an a bit, I commend you and am here for you. Stay strong and don’t let anything get in the way of celebrating your love! 🖤
