HAPPY BIRTHDAY MILA! 🥳❤️

Another trip around the sun for one of the sweetest, bubbliest, fun loving, humans we know!

When Mila first joined us, we talked about her bright light, warm hugs, positivity and huge heart. A year later, we can confidently say none of that was just first-impression behaviour….shes the real deal! 😂

Mila is kind, thoughtful, hardworking and genuinely cares about the people around her. She brings a softness and warmth to our team, while continuing to grow, learn and become a a very busy bee behind the chair and it’s easy to see why.

Watching her find her place in this industry and become the stylist she’s meant to be has been pretty darn special, and we know she’s only getting started.

We’re so lucky you found your way to KickAss, Mila. We love you, we appreciate you, and we hope this next year brings you SO many good things.

15 years of KickAss. ❤️

It’s hard to know how to put 15 years into a post, because KickAss has never just been a salon. To me, KickAss is comprised of a million tiny moments stacked on top of each other all to in compass what it is today.

Over 15 years, so many incredible people have worked inside these walls. Some stayed for a season, some for years, and some have grown right alongside us. Every single chapter has shaped KickAss into what it is today.

Over the years I’ve watched apprentices become incredible stylists. Coworkers become friends, and clients become family. Ive also watched people get married, have babies, change careers, start over, lose people they love, find themselves again and walk through our doors during some of the biggest moments of their lives.
This is something I don’t think I’ll ever take for granted.

I’m incredibly proud of the salon we’ve built, but I’m even more proud of the people who have built it with us. KickAss started as just a vision; but our amazing team and clients have made it in to something so much more than I could have ever imagined.

To our team, past and present.
To our clients who have supported us, recommended us, challenged us and grown with us. And of course to our community, that somehow let a salon called “KickAss Hair” stick around for 15 incredible years….😂

After 15 years I have to say that I still love this industry. I still get excited about what we can create. I still believe work should inspire you, the people around you should make you better, and if you’re going to spend this much of your life doing something, you might as well build something with people you can stand behind and be proud of.

So from the bottom of my heart, Thank you for trusting us with your hair, your stories, your careers, your milestones and your friendship. We couldn’t have done it without all of you!

And just like that, today is Masons last Day.
1 year and 2 days of Mason 🤍

And somehow, that was enough time for her to become such a big part of KickAss.

Mason came to us for what was always meant to be a temporary chapter, but she very quickly became one of those people you wish you could just keep….low key wanna tie her up so she can never leave….

For the last year, she has been one of the faces that greeted you when you walked through our doors, the voice on the other end of the phone, the person keeping appointments, stylists and approximately 847 moving pieces organized at once….🙃

She is smart, accountable, dependable, funny, kind, and has a way of quietly figuring things out without needing a whole lot of fuss about it. More than that, she has always been open to learning. She became someone our team could count on and someone we genuinely loved having around.

But Mason has bigger things ahead of her, and as much as we would selfishly like to keep her behind our front desk forever, that was never the plan….stupid Mason 🥹😂

Watching someone come into your business for one little chapter of their life and then getting to watch them grow, figure out what comes next and head off toward it is one of the really special parts of owning a business.

Mason, thank you for giving us 1 year and 2 days of you.

Thank you for taking care of our clients, our team and our salon like it mattered to you too.

We are ridiculously proud of you, we are going to miss you more than you know, and wherever life takes you next. You are going to KickAss in school, and you will always have a little piece of KickAss with you.
