She asked if I could blend these warm blonde tape-in extensions into her natural grey hair. I’ll be honest—I wasn’t completely sure when I first saw the colour difference, but I was determined to make it work…and I pulled it off!

I custom-coloured the extensions, created a soft grey blend through her natural hair, and installed the tape-ins for beautiful added length and fullness.

The final result is seamless, dimensional and completely transformed. You would never know where her natural hair ends and the extensions begin! 🤍

✨ 30+ YEARS BEHIND THE CHAIR… AND I’M STILL LEARNING. ✨

Yesterday I joined an advanced hairline webinar focused specifically on creating more natural, realistic hairlines for Partial Mesh Integration and Full Mesh Integration.

And I’m not stopping there.

Starting September 12th, I’ll be joining professionals from around the world for an intensive 30-Day Hairline Challenge — 30 days, 30 hairline drills, with ongoing guidance from some phenomenal international educators.

Why am I doing this after more than 30 years in the hair industry?

Because I believe experience should NEVER be an excuse to stop learning.

Hair-loss work is incredibly detailed. A beautiful integration isn’t just about attaching hair — it’s about understanding the natural hairline that already exists and knowing how to recreate what nature would have done.

We’ll be diving deeper into:

✨ Determining exactly where the new front edge should begin
✨ Creating softness so the hairline never looks heavy or harsh
✨ Baby hairs — how much, where they belong and how to keep them looking natural

And THAT is why continuing education is so important to me.

FROM DRY & OVER-PROCESSED TO SMOOTH, SHINY & SILKY

Victoria came in for an MK Professional Hair Botox treatment after receiving beautifully placed partial highlights from another stylist. My goal was to improve the condition, texture and manageability of her blonde hair while preserving its colour and dimension.

Because her highlighted mid-lengths and ends were drier and more porous than her newer growth, I began with MK Majestic Clarifying Shampoo to remove buildup and prepare the hair for treatment.

I customized her formula by combining MK Majestic Bontx with MK Majestic Platinum Blonde Hair Botox. This tailored blend was chosen to smooth, soften and control frizz while supporting the needs of her processed blonde hair.

✨ THE JOURNEY BEGINS FOR BLUSH & BLONDE! ✨

Another piece of the new salon is officially underway — I’ve started creating the custom styling table for Blush & Blonde Hair Studio! 🤍✨

This isn’t going to be just a styling table. The top is being completely transformed using Stone Coat Epoxy to create a beautiful custom marble effect that will become one of the centrepieces of the salon.

There’s a lot more prep involved than you might think! First, the table was thoroughly prepped, followed by two base coats with sanding in between to make sure everything was smooth and ready for the epoxy.

Then came the exciting part — the epoxy pour! 🙌 And a big thank you to Allen Witthers for helping me with the epoxy pour — an extra set of hands was definitely appreciated for this part! ❤️

I masked around the entire edge of the table to hold the epoxy on top while we created the marble design. After about four hours, the tape was removed and the epoxy was allowed to slowly flow over the edges, creating that gorgeous finished stone look.

Tomorrow morning I’ll sand away the excess epoxy drips underneath and continue working toward the final finish.

It’s messy, it’s a process…and I absolutely LOVE watching this vision come together! 😂🤍

Little by little, Blush & Blonde Hair Studio is becoming exactly what I imagined. I can’t wait for you all to see this table finished and sitting in the centre of the new salon. ✨

✨ COLOUR CORRECTION — TRUST THE PROCESS ✨

This transformation was definitely not a quick appointment — and that was intentional.

When correcting years of darker colour and working toward a soft, light ash blonde, the health of the hair has to come before speed.

We started with a Malibu colour remover to gently remove as much artificial pigment and buildup as possible, followed by a strengthening treatment to prepare the hair for the lightening process.

Next, I carefully lightened the hair using foils throughout the entire head. Foiling allowed me to control the lift section by section, monitor the hair closely and avoid pushing areas that weren’t ready for more.

Once I reached the level I needed, I toned the hair to a smoky ash blonde, treated it again, and assessed the condition before continuing.

Only then did I proceed with the next stage of lightening to reach our desired lighter ash blonde result.

🤍 Colour correction isn’t about getting there as fast as possible. It’s about knowing when to lift, when to treat, when to tone — and when the hair has had enough.

The goal isn’t simply beautiful colour.
It’s beautiful colour with healthy, wearable hair at the end of the service.
