Seamless grey blending made simple! ✨

We placed partial highlights using a fine weave technique throughout her foils to create a soft, natural blend that works with her greys as they grow in.

Lightener: Moroccanoil Blondvoyage Lightener with 15 volume for a gentle, low-and-slow lift.

Toner: Moroccanoil Calypso Cream in 8Ch with a touch of 8G for a rich, warm dimensional finish.

A low-maintenance approach that keeps the hair looking fresh, bright, and effortless! 💆‍♀️

Back to school look! 🎒✨
For this transformation, we decided to step away from full all-over lightener while still keeping those fun vivid vibes with a halo placement!

Here’s how we created it:

Top Veil: Sectioned out the crown and applied Moroccanoil Calypso Cream 6Bv (10 vol) for a rich natural base, adding a hint of Pulp Riot Velvet on the tips for a subtle blend.

Halo Lift: Instead of traditional lightener, we lifted her roots low and gentle using Moroccanoil Rhapsody 9VV with 30 volume.

Vivids: After a wash with Matrix Food For Soft, we blow dried and applied a custom Pulp Riot blend with Cupid, Velvet, and Molten Metal. Since her roots were a bit too gold for Molten Metal on its own, we layered Pulp Riot Candy over top to transform it into a gorgeous pink with a shimmering gold reflect! 💖✨

I love how open and adventurous this client always is with her color ideas!

She wanted to step out of her comfort zone and try something totally new, having never ventured into coppers or reds before!

We created this rich, dimensional look using a weave technique to blend depth and warmth seamlessly:

Roots & Lows: MoroccanOil Rhapsody 4N + 4Ch with 15 volume
Highlights: MoroccanOil Calypso Cream in 7Cr + 8G

We both completely fell in love with how this custom copper-chocolate blend complements her! 🤎🔥
( Just wished my camera picked up the copper caramel tones better)

Back-to-school color melt! We used Pulp Riot Blue Muse (blue) and Pulp Riot Nuclear (orange) to create this vibrant half-halo effect. Total complementary color goals! 🎯

Every hair journey is unique, and keeping hair health at the forefront is always priority #1! 🤎✨

My client recently landed a new job that requires natural hair tones, so we needed to transition her faded vivid red into something work-approved. On top of that, her body has been through an incredible transformation: a year and a half ago, she chose to have bariatric surgery and has since lost a whopping 120 lbs! So beyond proud of her growth! 💪🎉

Post-bariatric hair thinning (telogen effluvium) is very common due to surgical stress and rapid weight loss, which prematurely pushes hair into a resting phase. While it usually resolves once nutrition and weight stabilize, hair requires gentle care meaning avoiding harsh chemical processes, tight hairstyles, or unnecessary heat. Because of this, using any lightener was completely off the table!

Instead, we worked directly with her leftover red to create a gentle color melt:

Roots: 4N
Melted to: 6N + a splash of 8G

Interestingly, where the 4N met her existing faded red, it brought out a rich copper-red hue instead of a completely neutral brown. It wasn't the exact result we anticipated, but hair color is a science and we both absolutely fell in love with how warm, shiny, and rich it turned out!

Quick sink refresh for the win! 🍦✨

She originally came in for a wash and flat iron, but spending extra time outdoors had faded her color and brought out some unwanted brassiness. We decided to do a quick gloss at the bowl to bring her blonde back to life!

Toned with Moroccanoil Calypso Demi-Permanent Cream in 9Ch + 10B, creating this gorgeous, soft, creamy vanilla finish. Finished with a sleek flat iron style! 💆‍♀️

Color correction journey! 🛠️✨

Her roots were warm, her ends were super ashy, and protecting her hair integrity was my top priority. We started with a clarifying wash and Matrix Food For Soft to try and pull out the ash on the ends. We then toned with 10B + 10V from roots to mid-shaft for 15 minutes before combing through to the ends. Once blow-dried, we realized it still wasn't where we wanted it to be—the roots were still a bit too warm and the ends too cool.

To break up the uneven tones, we went back in with highlights using Moroccanoil Blondvoyage Lightener with just 10 volume. This is my absolute go-to lightener because its BondCare + ArganID® System helps protect hair bonds to reduce breakage while infusing argan oil deep into the cortex for shine and condition.

We re-toned with 10V + 10Vb+ a touch of 10N for a gorgeous cool beige finish, then transformed her one-length bob into a chic, textured inverted bob! Hair health intact and tone balanced! 💆‍♀️

A big chop and rich caramel tones for the win! 🍯✨

We took off a solid 7–8 inches of length and added fresh layers to give her curls maximum movement and bounce. To create those warm caramel highlights, I used a thick teasy-weave technique with Moroccanoil Blondvoyage Lightener and 15 volume, then toned with Moroccanoil Calypso cream in 8G + 8Ch.

Because we went with teasy lights, this color will grow out so soft and seamless, giving her that effortless, lived-in feel as time goes on!

Patience pays off! ✨ After taking it step-by-step over a few sessions, we officially achieved this gorgeous light blonde while keeping her hair super healthy.

We lifted low and slow all over using Moroccanoil Blondvoyage Lightener with 15 volume, then toned to perfection using Moroccanoil Calypso cream (10GyV + 10B + 10V).

To top it off, she gave me the green light to try something I’ve wanted to do for a while—using her undercut shave as a canvas! 🌸 I grabbed paintbrushes and Pulp Riot semi-permanents to hand-paint these fun floral accents. I love when clients give me a budget and full creative freedom (with just one rule: zero pink!).

Loved meeting my new client and creating this super fun, multi-dimensional look! ✨

We started by brightening up her existing blonde with MoroccanOil Blondvoyage Lightener and 10 volume, then mixed in some rich lowlights using Calypso 7NV to add depth. To really make it pop, we added peek-a-boo foils of 5RV on the sides for a surprise splash of red-violet!

We finished her process by toning the remaining hair, then gave her a fresh cut with micro-trimmed ends and added texture with shaggy layers and a side bang. 💇‍♀️

Formula Details:
Highlights: Moroccanoil Blondvoyage Lightener + 10 vol
Lowlights: Moroccanoil Calypso 7NV
Peek-a-boo: 5RV
Tone Around: Moroccanoil Calypso 10GyV + 10Vb + 10B

What do you think of this multi-tonal change? Drop a 💜 if you love the peek-a-boo violet!
