When a woman is unhappy in her marriage but keeps pretending that everything is perfect, while constantly comparing her life to other people’s lives, it can slowly change her.

Instead of appreciating what she has and making genuine efforts to improve her situation, she may become bitter, resentful, and unhappy.

And the sad part is that her unhappiness doesn’t stay with her alone. Everyone around her eventually feels the effects of it.

You can package a marriage for social media, put on a happy face, and make people believe everything is fine, but you cannot fake peace forever.

A fake and unhappy life eventually reveals itself through the way you treat the people around you.

There was a pattern in my family that scared me growing up. My forefathers would have children with their wives and, somehow, end up sending those women away. It happened from my great-grandparents to my own father.

I saw that pattern and promised myself that I would never repeat it.

When I got married, I worked so hard to make sure my marriage would be different. I wanted my children to grow up in a home where their parents stayed together and worked through their problems.

But my wife has put me through a lot. I have begged, apologized, and tried everything I could think of to make this marriage work. She knows how much I fear separation because I don’t want to repeat what happened in my family, yet whenever we have an argument, she tells me she’s leaving.

She threatens to leave the marriage so often that it has become painful. Sometimes she talks to me anyhow because she knows I will do almost anything to avoid separation, especially because of our children.

But the truth is, I am no longer happy. I feel emotionally exhausted, and I don’t know how much longer I can keep pretending that everything is okay.

I wanted so badly to break the pattern in my family that I may have forgotten that a marriage cannot be saved by one person alone.

I don’t want to walk away, but I also don’t know how to continue living like this.

What should I do?

I don’t know the host in the green dress or the lady in black, and honestly, I don’t even know how true this story is, but from what I watched on fb last night , it really got me thinking.

The lady in black claimed that she was in a relationship with the young man in the picture when he became seriously ill with kidney disease.
According to her, she used her parents’ house as collateral to raise ₦30 million to help with his treatment. She also became his kidney donor.

She said she travelled ahead of him to have her own surgery and returned home to continue working, while he later travelled for the transplant.
According to her, he came back without telling her, and she eventually ran into him and discovered that he was already married with children before he ever met her.
Now she is demanding her ₦30 million back and even asking for her kidney back.

What really got me angry was the man’s attitude. He reportedly said she donated the kidney and gave him the money out of her own kindness, so she was being childish for asking for them back.
But let me ask you honestly:

Do you think this woman is being unreasonable, or do you understand why she feels betrayed and wants everything she sacrificed back?

Forget the kidney for a moment because that one is a completely different matter medically and legally. What about the ₦30 million?
If someone risked her life and put her parents’ house on the line to save a man she believed she would build a future with, only to later discover that he had a wife and children, wouldn’t you feel completely betrayed too?

I really want to hear what people think about this one. Because if this story is true, there is much more to it than just she gave out of kindness.

The way they are treating thieves in the East these days is something else! 😂

I keep seeing videos where they catch a thief, beat him, strip him naked, and then put one very sweet, danceable music in the background. Before you know it, the poor man is dancing like he is auditioning for a cultural dance competition. 😂😂
They now entertain crowd

At this point, I don’t even know whether to laugh or feel sorry for them. The music is always so nice too! You will be watching the video and almost forget that the person dancing is actually in serious trouble. 😭😂

Honestly, this is still better than jungle justice because at least they are alive and not being killed. But people really need to stop stealing because the kind of embarrassment waiting for you if you get caught is something you may never recover from. 😂

Even Odumeje has been warning people: Stop stealing ooo! Because apparently, the things they do to thieves these days are on another level. 😂

Abeg, if you know your hands are getting ready to enter somebody’s property, remember the dance floor waiting for you. Leave people’s things alone! 😂😂

But seriously ooo ,is this the best way to discipline them or hanf them over to the police

There is something we need to understand about people: an apology does not always mean someone has changed.
Sometimes, a person will intentionally say hurtful things to you, then apologize when you confront them.

Tomorrow, they do something else that hurts you, apologize again, and the cycle continues.
Once it keeps happening repeatedly, it is no longer just a mistake. It has become a pattern.

I belong to a group where I have served for a couple of years. One day, during one of our programmes, a member suggested that I should begin the programme. Another person immediately said, No. Someone from their clan should do it.

Honestly, I was shocked. I asked myself, Did you really just say that?
After he was confronted, he apologized. I accepted the apology and moved on.
But it happened again.
Then another incident happened, followed by another apology. At some point, I had to sit back and ask myself, How many times am I going to keep accepting the same apology for the same kind of behaviour?
I have now come to the conclusion that this is a pattern.

And sometimes, repeated hurtful behaviour is not about misunderstanding you. It may be an attempt to make you uncomfortable enough to leave, or to make you feel unwelcome every time you show up.

I have learned that you can forgive someone without giving them unlimited opportunities to hurt you.

Forgiveness is not the same as tolerating repeated disrespect.
If someone truly values you, their apology should eventually be followed by changed behaviour.

Because when I’m sorry keeps coming without any change, the apology becomes nothing more than a pause before the next hurt.

Sometimes, you don't need to fight, insult or create a scene. You simply need to recognize the pattern, protect your peace, set boundaries, and decide how much access that person will continue to have to you.
Watch the pattern, not just the apology.
