🌞 Summer Social Media & Marketing Assistant
July–August 2025 | $18–$20/hr | ~40 hrs/month (with potential to grow)

* Are you a creative thinker who loves social media, marketing, and all things beauty? ✨
* Freebird Beauty Co. is hiring a Summer Social Media & Marketing Assistant to help us spread the word about our new services, collaborations, and product launches.
* We’re looking for someone who’s part strategist, part content creator, and fully obsessed with helping small brands grow through smart, scroll-stopping content.

📝 Contract Details
Term: June to August 2025
Hours: Approx. 40 hours/month to start (flexible scheduling)
Pay: $18–$20/hour (based on experience)
Location: Hybrid — mostly remote, with occasional in-person shoots/events in Hamilton

🎯 What You'll Be Doing
* Create and schedule engaging social media content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok (including Reels, Stories, and carousel posts)
* Support our email marketing efforts (writing and designing newsletters, segmenting lists, tracking engagement)
* Help promote our new services and beauty classes
* Collaborate on exciting brand partnerships and local business shoutouts
* Monitor performance of posts, email campaigns, and engagement rates to optimize content
* Set-up, organize and maintain our content calendar
* Repurpose content across multiple platforms to increase visibility
* Attend a few beauty events or bookings to grab BTS content (with permission)

💡 Ideal Candidate:
* A student returning to school in Fall 2025 (marketing, communications, media, advertising, or similar field)
* Experience in social media marketing, advertising, AND email marketing (Canva, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp or similar)
* Knows how to write copy that connects and converts
* Eye for design and love for beauty trends
* Comfortable with analytics and curious about how to grow engagement and sales
* An organized and independent (aka: a self-starter) person who's still fun to work with 😉

What you may not know is that we also offer hair & makeup for special events like prom/grad, we teach hair & makeup lessons and we do Beauty Bash Birthday Parties for kids, too! 🎉🥳
