A letter to the first half of 2026. 🤍
This year started with so much hope and excitement for everything that was to come. I rang in the New Year on Sentosa Island in Singapore, traveled throughout Thailand with my family, and finished the trip in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It was the trip of a lifetime, filled with memories I’ll hold onto forever. I remember thinking that if this was how my year was starting, 2026 was going to be incredible.
But only a few months later, everything changed.
In April, I was faced with a situation that completely shook the foundation of who I am—one that I’m not able to speak about publicly. It was one of the darkest periods of my life. I experienced panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, and lived each day with uncertainty. It scared me, and it scared the people who love me because it was so unlike me.
Then something shifted.
I’m not religious, and I’ve probably always identified most closely as agnostic. But I’ve always believed there’s something bigger than us. Lately, I’ve started leaning into spirituality in a way I never had before.
What if the universe had been trying to guide me all along, but I wasn’t listening? What if it had to place something so big in my path that I had no choice but to stop, reflect, and finally hear what it was trying to tell me?
Having your world turned upside down is trauma. There’s no minimizing that. But when I look back on the first half of 2026, I don’t just see pain. I see love. I see resilience. I see the people who carried me when I couldn’t carry myself. I see someone who kept choosing to move forward, one day at a time.
The greatest lesson I’ve learned is this: there is no past, and there is no future. The past is simply a collection of present moments that shaped us. The future is made up of present moments that haven’t happened yet and are completely outside our control.
All we ever truly have is right now.
So in this present moment, I choose peace. I choose trust. And I choose to believe that if we’re willing to listen, the universe is always telling us exactly what we need to hear. 🤍

Hey friends!
I’ve had a lot of new faces join this little community lately, so I figured it was time for a proper reintroduction. If you’ve been here for a while, thank you so much. Your support truly means the world to me.
For those of you who don’t know me, hi! I’m Leah, the face behind Nurse Injector Leah Nikita.
I’ve been a Registered Nurse for 8 years (how?!), and I’ve been working in Aesthetic Medicine for the past 2 years. Before aesthetics, all of my nursing experience was in Psychiatry and Mental Health, which I truly believe has shaped the way I care for my clients. Confidence is so much more than what we see in the mirror, and I carry that mindset into every treatment I provide.
When it comes to aesthetics, my favourite treatments are a toss-up between Lip Filler and Microneedling… although, if I’m being honest, I truly love every service on my menu. My approach will always be natural, safe, educational, and personalized to you.
I have a huge passion for skincare and content creation. I’m the author of The Aesthetic Girl Skin Guide, and I’ve been building a growing library of digital skincare resources, including my skincare quick guides. I genuinely love helping people understand their skin and making skincare feel a little less overwhelming.
Outside of the treatment room, I’m a cat mom to my two beautiful babies, Beau and Verona. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to more than 25 countries (with many more on my bucket list!), and I’m also a spin girly- you can usually find me either on a bike or working the front desk at SPINCO. I love reading, have recently fallen down the spirituality rabbit hole (book recommendations are always welcome!), and I’m a reality TV fanatic. Give me anything Bravo or pull me for a Love Island chat, and I’m happy.
But more than anything, underneath the syringe, the skincare, and the scrubs, I’m really just a girl with a fire in her belly, trying to find her place in this world while helping others feel a little more confident along the way.

Watching my 4-year-old sister get excited to try on your SPF because it “makes her feel beautiful” while also protecting her skin is honestly the sweetest thing.
It’s never too early to start teaching the kids in your life about daily sunscreen, sun protection, and healthy skincare habits. And if they’re going to insist on wearing “makeup” anyway… an SPF that gives a little glow definitely makes it a bit easier on the heart. 😂☀️
