You deserve to feel strong and at home in your body.

At Mountain Vitality Wellness, I provide personalized therapeutic massage and wellness care tailored to your goals, easing pain and helping you move through life feeling your best. The key to getting the most from your massage program is not to wait until you're tired or injured.

MASSAGE THERAPY SHOULD BE A REGULAR PART OF YOUR SCHEDULE. Here are 10 reasons why:
* Break up scar tissue that may have built up in your muscles
* Improves blood flow to your muscles to lessen soreness.
* Loosen muscles that have contracted (Shortened) with continued use.
* Allow more oxygen to move into your muscles.
* Improves the flow of lymphatic fluid, which aids in healing.
* Reduces the chance of injury, through proper stretching, preparation and deep tissue massage.
* Improves range of motion and muscle flexibility, resulting in improved power and stability.
* Shorten recovery time between workouts.
* Maximize the supply of nutrients and oxygen through increased blood flow.
* Separate and spread the individual muscle fibers to help provide increased range of motion.

🧡 A little reminder🪶
Today is a day to pause.
To remember.
To listen.
To learn.
Truth and Reconciliation Day is a reminder that reconciliation begins with small moments taking the time to listen to Indigenous voices, learn about the history of this land, and carry that learning forward with respect.

As a wellness space rooted in connection to earth, energy and soul, we take a moment today to honour the people, stories, cultures and traditions that have been here long before us.
May we continue to listen.
May we continue to learn.
May we continue to walk forward with respect. 🧡

The older I get, the more I realize…

Life isn’t about doing more. It’s about finding more meaning in the things that actually matter.

Movement keeps me strong.

Nature brings me back to myself.

Quiet gives me space to breathe.

Health is something I’m incredibly grateful for.

And the simple moments a mountain trail, a good cup of tea, a deep breath, time with the people and animals I love are often the ones that stay with me.

Maybe wellness isn’t about fixing ourselves. Maybe it’s about coming home to ourselves. 🌲✨

That’s a big part of what Mountain Vitality Wellness means to me creating space for movement, massage, nature, stillness and connection… because true wellness is about the whole person.

A strong body. A quiet mind. A grounded soul

🌿 A LITTLE SNEAK PEEK INTO MY JOURNEY… 🌿

If you've been wondering why I'm in Tijuana right now, here's a little bit of the story behind the decision.

This wasn't a spur-of-the-moment trip.

I've spent years researching my health, asking questions and looking for options.

I've had 25 surgeries throughout my life, including a hysterectomy at 27, two separate oophorectomies, gallbladder removal, multiple exploratory surgeries and procedures related to endometriosis, ERCPs, ruptured breast implants and what I personally experienced as breast implant illness.

I've also spent years dealing with gastrointestinal issues, diverticulitis, body and joint pain, and changes in my bone health. Osteoarthritis has been found in my lower back, and I've also been diagnosed with osteoporosis in areas including my jaw and right knee. My knee has been reconstructed and contains surgical enhancements, which means certain treatment approaches aren't even an option for me.

And that's only part of the story.

I've been looking into regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy for about four years.

I've researched clinics in the United States, spoken with people who have travelled for treatment, listened to their experiences, talked with clients of my own who have undergone stem cell therapy, and gone down more than a few research rabbit holes. 😂

Eventually, that research brought me here.

Tijuana. 🇲🇽

I chose Sanmiguel Health because of the process they had me go through before I ever arrived.

I was able to speak with both a stem cell physician and an internal medicine physician. I provided my medical history, previous imaging, CTs, MRIs and other medical information, and they reviewed it with me before I committed to treatment.

Once I arrived, the medical assessment continued.

There was blood work, urine testing, f***l testing and additional evaluation. I'm not going to share every result or medical detail publicly, but what really caught my attention was the breadth of the evaluation and the conversations surrounding my individual medical history.

The treatment plan they recommended for me was based on my history and my goals, rather than simply putting everyone through the exact same program.

For me, the goal isn't some magic number on a scale.

It's quality of life.

I want to feel better in my body.

I want to support my mobility, my musculoskeletal health and my overall wellness.

I want longevity.

I want to be able to hike, move, work, travel, enjoy my family and keep doing the things I love.

And honestly, I wish some of these options were more readily available for people in Canada.

I've also heard plenty of the conversation about Tijuana and the safety concerns surrounding Mexico.

But here's something I've learned since being here:

Tijuana is a city.

Just like Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver or anywhere else, there are places that are safe and places that aren't.

I've walked around. I've experienced the hotel, the medical facility and the people here. I've been welcomed warmly, and I've felt comfortable exploring.

Tomorrow, I'm actually heading out to see a little more of the city and learn some of its history and I'm pretty excited about that. ❤️

I'm not here to convince anyone that stem cells are right for them.

I'm sharing this because I'm willing to be the person who goes down the rabbit hole, asks the questions and shares what I actually experience.

There is still so much we don't know.

And perhaps we're only beginning to scratch the surface of what's possible in regenerative medicine.

So this is just the beginning of my little sneak peek.

🌿 I'll be sharing more about the clinic, the treatment, what I've experienced, what I've learned and what happens next.

No promises.

No miracle claims.

Just my journey, my experience and my search for a better quality of life.

🌿 Good morning from Mountain Vitality Wellness! 🌿

Well… life has been a little busy around here! 😂

We went from wedding planning → getting married → and now Jodi is in Tijuana for a stem cell treatment. Apparently sitting still was never really part of the plan. 😉

She’s taking a few days to focus on herself, recharge and let her body do its thing before heading home and getting back into the treatment room.

And because you guys are already keeping her schedule nice and full… October is booking up! The first part of the month is already pretty packed, so current openings are mostly looking toward the later part of October.

If you’ve messaged recently, hang tight! you haven’t been forgotten! ❤️ Jodi will catch up with everyone once she’s back.

Until then, a little sunshine, a little healing, and a whole lot of gratitude. 🌿
