Hi everyone, this is Kesha. Funny, I seem to only post when I have something important I need to announce lol, but bear with me, this is a long one.

Today, posting this is bittersweet. After 4.5 years, and a lot of important decisions to make the last few months, the time has come where I have made the final decision to officially close the doors to Studio K..

When I first opened my salon in 2021, my dream was to create a space that was welcoming, where my clients would feel comfortable from the moment they walked in to when they left and I hope that's how all of my clients felt. Even from the very beginning, I always did my best to make sure my clients knew if they needed anything - their colour adjusted or cut touched up differently, that they should never ever be afraid to message me no matter what the issue was. I prided myself on always making sure my clients were completely satisfied with their hair and if they weren't, then I'd do my best to fix it, no problems whatsoever.
"If you have any issues or there's something you don't like about your hair, please let me know right away so I can get you in to make any adjustments needed. Please don't post it on Facebook or complain to your friends, okay? I'm the only one who knows what I did with your hair so I know what I can do to fix it." It may have sounded harsh but that was my motto and I said it to everyone until I was blue in the face. That was how I built trust and my reputation (which is great I hope 😅). But, there were times I couldn't make everyone happy and that's also okay. I know I did my best.

The last 4.5 years running this business was not a walk in the park. There were always going to be good or not so good days, but regardless, I always showed up (edit: even if it was never on time 😂). Because being self employed, I was the only one who could.
But also running this business has taught me so much about the business side as well, and there is a lot of valuable information to carry on into my next venture. I feel like I've grown so much professionally and personally.

This is not the end of my hairdressing career, but now that I've moved away with my family, running the business remotely along with travelling back and forth to work in Goose Bay every few weeks was only meant to be temporary. I may still return occasionally for touch ups on low maintenance clients, but as of September 30th, it will no longer be at Studio K.

Studio K will always be a massive part of my life and I will always be so proud of what it has become, and honored to have had all the clients who sat in my chair. From different races and cultures, to clients from all over Canada, and even clients from other countries.

I'm so thankful that family, friends and especially my clients trusted me, supported me and confided in me as their hairdresser. Having shared hundreds of stories, laughed with me, shed tears, and expressed excitement, sadness, frustration and happiness with whatever was going on with their lives, and in return I'd do my best to lend an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or a smile and a hug, as well as beautiful hair that made them happy and feeling confident. And through those appointments I've built so many friendships and professional relationships, a few that hopefully last a lifetime. It's truly been the best 4.5 years for me and I hope I was able to give my clients the same experience.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Again, I always say I couldn't have done any of this without you guys, because it's true, and for that I am forever grateful. 😭♥️

Great news: I'll be coming to Goose Bay the beginning of July and this time I'll be taking appointments from the 3rd to the 7th 🤩
I'm posting here to give my clients a fair chance, so if you would like to book please message the page, and it will be first come first serve based on the service, as appointments are limited of course!

This is Kesha! I just wanted to come on here and let you all know that Alisha still has room in her schedule for any of my clients and other potential new clients that need an appointment 🫶
Truthfully, I don't want anyone to wait too long for me - my last couple trips home have been far too busy to take any appointments, and I haven't made any decisions on when I will be able to come back home to work. Myself and Alisha operate at the same caliber and she has been an amazing addition to Studio K this far!
So please do not hesitate to reach out and make an appointment if you need one and Alisha will do her best to accommodate 🫶 We will also start posting availabilities each week.

Hi everyone! This status is one I was expecting to make at some point, but didn't think it would be this soon.

So without putting too much detail into it, we finally got the call we've been waiting a long time for, and have been in the process of relocating to Labrador City since early February.

First I want to sincerely apologize to my clients who have gotten their hopes up for an appointment with me, my honest intent was to return for several days a month but plans change.

However, Studio K will NOT be closing down! I'll still be managing the salon from a distance and my girl Alisha will be working and tending to her clients. I cannot ask Alisha to tend to all of my clients too, especially with a large clientele of her own. She has access to the page and can respond to messages, so if she wants to take any of my clients on, then I will leave the decision up to her.

With that being said, I should be returning periodically to visit and hopefully take a few appointments!! When I know dates I'll post to let everyone know 😊

So to my beautiful, loyal and so highly valued clients, I truly could not have made it these past 4 years without you all. The love and support has been overwhelming and so appreciated from the bottom of my heart.
This is not a goodbye, just a see you later 🥹

Happy new year to all my friends and clients! I hope everyone is enjoying what they can of this chilly January!

It's been a long time since I've made a post but I have some very exciting news..

My best friend is starting a new chapter in her career, and has joined me at Studio K 🎉 after years of making her mark at previous salons, she finally gets to take her amazing talent, heart and energy to my little corner of the world! I've always known how incredible she is as a hairstylist and friend but now I have the pleasure of working with her again. 🥰

So, please give Alisha Barney the biggest and warmest welcome ♥️

Can't wait to join forces and have all the laughs and great times as we create more memories and magic behind the chair ✨

She will be working full time and I will be back doing a few hours a month, so if you'd like to book in with her please send us a message. As we navigate a new schedule and dynamic please be patient for a response.
If you are a current client of hers we can place you on a priority booking list.

Good evening friends and clients! Hope this beautiful day is being enjoyed by everyone! I'm gonna try to make this post as short and sweet as possible. 😊

For those of you who don't know or haven't heard, I'm due to have a baby girl in early August, and we're so over the moon and can't wait for the beautiful and exciting times ahead of us 💕

Ultimately this means I'll be going on maternity leave starting the beginning of July, and over the last few months I appreciate everyones support and patience as my brain has been everywhere trying to navigate plans for work and clients. As of right now I don't have a return date, however as soon as I know what's happening I will be sure to update with a post 😊

On another note, I am also booked up for the rest of June so there is a cancellation list if any of my clients wish to be added. But while I'm away, if you need to line up appointments with another salon or hairdresser I would be happy to help by providing your formula and/or processing details 💕

If anyone has any questions please reach out, these upcoming months will be busy and I can't promise I'll be able to respond in a timely matter (Not that I do a great job of that anyways 😅)
