No more drawing on her brows every morning!

This beautiful client came to me wanting brows that are *there* when she wakes up, without daily pencils or regular tinting appointments. We went with **combo brows**: soft hair strokes through the front for a natural look, blending into light shading through the body and tail for definition and fullness. She was SO excited, and I loved every minute of this one 🤍

Let’s talk fading, because PMU isn’t forever (and that’s a good thing!)

Combo brows are semi-permanent. Pigment is placed in the upper layers of the skin, and over time it softens. Here’s why:

1️⃣ **Your body breaks it down.** Your immune system treats pigment as a foreign particle and slowly clears it away.
2️⃣ **Skin renews itself.** Natural cell turnover gradually lightens the result.
3️⃣ **Sun exposure.** UV rays break down pigment faster and can shift its tone. SPF on healed brows is your best friend.
4️⃣ **Skin type.** Oily skin tends to fade faster and soften hair strokes. Shading usually holds better on oily skin than strokes do.
5️⃣ **Skincare.** Retinol, acids (AHA/BHA), and exfoliants used over the brows speed up fading. Keep them off your brow area.
6️⃣ **Healing is part of it.** Brows look bold for the first week, then soften. Healed results are lighter than day one, which is why a touch-up session at 6–8 weeks is part of the process.

**How long do they last?** Most clients come back for a colour boost every **12–24 months** to keep them fresh. The upside of fading is that your brows can evolve with you as your face and style change.

Not going to lie, these were my most nervous set yet (no pressure when it’s family, right?! 😅). But I am OBSESSED with how they turned out. They take 10 years off her!

💡 **Aftercare fact:** No brow makeup on the treated area for at least 10–14 days! Products can clog the healing skin, introduce bacteria, and pull out pigment before it has a chance to settle. Let them do their thing. You’ll be filling them in way less after this anyway. 😉

💡 **Brow fact:** Powder brows are a great choice for oily or combination skin. The soft shading tends to heal cleaner and last longer than microblading’s hair strokes, usually 1–3 years with a touch-up.

Lip Blush Process ✨ Model #2

My beautiful model came in with naturally full lips, and as you can see in the healing photos, lips are VERY vascular, so some are more prone to swelling than others. This is totally normal and settles within a few days! 💋

Right after the procedure the color looks bold and bright, but don’t panic 😉 Lip blush fades 30–70% as it heals, softening into a natural lip tint that looks like you’re wearing your favorite balm every day.

Speaking of favorites, she brought in her go-to lip tint and we matched her color to it, so her healed result is exactly the shade she’s comfortable wearing daily. 🎨

And the pain? With numbing, she rated it only a 2/10, and she has a LOW pain tolerance! 🙌

BROW REFRESH ✨

Touch-ups are everything. Pigment softens and fades over time — that’s normal — and a refresh brings back the shape, the depth, and the crispness. Same brows, brought back to life.

I have to say it: having clients travel to come see me means more than you know. You could go anywhere, and you choose to drive to my little studio in Sparwood. I don’t take that lightly. 🤍

Every single client teaches me something new. I am so in love with this journey and I’m only getting started.

📌 A note on touch-ups: not all brows can be refreshed. Many older or over-saturated brows will need laser removal first to lift the pigment before new work can go over top. If you’re not sure where yours sit, send me a photo and I’ll tell you honestly.

Not all tattooed brows have to look tattooed ✨

These soft powder brows were created to heal beautifully natural and subtle. As they fade and soften, we’ll reassess at her first touch-up—either adding a little more colour and definition or keeping them soft just like this.

This client also prefers her brows to start a little further back, so we created a soft ombré fade through the fronts rather than bringing them too far inward. The result is airy, flattering and helps open up her eyes without looking harsh or overly “done.” 🤍

First lip model — complete 🤍
Here’s the honest part most people don’t get told: what you see on day one is not your result. Lip blush fades 30–50%, sometimes more, settling into a soft natural tint rather than a lipstick look. That’s the whole point. It’s meant to look like your lips on their best day, not like you’re wearing colour.
Want more depth and dimension? That’s built in layers. Additional sessions add saturation and shape once the first pass has healed, so we’re always building up to your result instead of overshooting it.
Healing, day by day:
• Days 1–2 — bold, swollen, tender. Totally normal.
• Days 3–4 — colour darkens and tightens before it peels. This is the “what did I do” stage. Trust it.
• Days 5–7 — light flaking. Do not pick. Let it shed on its own.
• Weeks 2–4 — colour looks patchy or disappears. It’s still there, just under fresh skin coming back up.
• Week 6–8 — true healed colour. This is when we assess and decide on a second session.
Aftercare is simple but non-negotiable: keep them clean and balmed, no soaking, no picking, no spicy or salty food the first couple of days.

It’s not lipstick and it’s not a lip liner look — it adds a subtle, beautiful tinted lip without the need for makeup. Here’s how it goes:

✧ The appointment (2.5–3 hrs) — we map and measure to your bone structure, pick a pigment tone that suits your skin and hair, then numb before and during. You approve the shape before I ever start. Nothing happens without your yes.

✧ Days 1–3 — bold, dark, sharp. This is normal. Do not panic.

✧ Days 4–10 — flaking and light scabbing. Do NOT pick. Picking pulls pigment out and creates patchy spots.
