•To my regular clients, I am suggesting booking ahead your next 2-3 appointments. 😊

Our spa is home to several independent businesses. Gift certificates are redeemable only with the practitioner or business from whom they were purchased unless otherwise specified. Independent practitioners are solely responsible for honoring their own gift certificates.
NEW POLICY update:
In the past we have honored by "switching" between providers to accommodate using a gift certificate with the provider in which that individual sees.
However, by doing this we actually lose money and here's why:
Each Provider claims their own income, which means when a gift certificate is purchased there is a debit machine charge (a different percent depending the card), the cost of the card, 5% GST charge and roughly 30% goes to income tax. When we transfer the gift card over, we pay out of pocket to that provider which means we have claimed money we essentially have to give away.
We do our best guiding the purchaser if we know who that individual sees for services, but it's not our responsibility if the wrong gift certificate is purchased.

In the RARE chance,
If for instance you see massage therapist "A" and got a gift certificate for massage therapist "B", and do not wish to use it with massage therapist "B" there is a 30% charge on the gift certificate amount. This is a huge compromise in which no other business would accommodate. Please respect that we are small businesses trying to do what we are passionate about ❤️

Two of my favourites came to the spa today to let me trial the 𝐎𝐧𝐲𝐟𝐢𝐱 on them. ❤️

In this photo below my client has a pincer nail - a condition where the edges of the nail excessively curve inward and pinch the underlying skin and nail bed.

There is several causes including improper footwear, genetics, medications such as beta blockers and more.

𝐒𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐲𝐟𝐢𝐱 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨?
The band works like a brace that continues to grow out with your nail plate.
Gently retaining the nail to grow in a flatter, wider arch rather than curling inward.
As the nail continues to grow the band will grow with the nail.
After 20-30 weeks if the nail under the band still has a curve, I will then apply another band at the base of the nail until we have the desired shape.
For the more severe cases we may have to reapply 2-4 times until the issue is corrected.
In this particular case if the nail does not start growing in that flatter, wider direction it may be something more that a podiatrist will have to look further into such as a bone spur under the nail.
