Sweater weather is here and so is market season.

I’m so excited to be packing up Rosemary & Wildflower and getting ready to see you in person again!

This fall’s market lineup will include your favourite botanical skincare, beard oils, body butters, giftable sets, and a few market specials along the way.

My first market of the season is September 26, Prairie Vintage Revival 🇨🇦 Flea to the Farm market

Keep an eye out over the next couple of weeks as I share what I’ll be bringing.

It’s almost time to put the harvest basket away for another year.

Calendula season is slowly drawing to a close here, but there’s still a few more blooms to pick and I’ll take every last one.

The Sunday Swap trend has me thinking about all the little things that are made for sharing.

If you haven’t seen it yet, the idea is simple: bring some of the same handmade or thoughtfully chosen item, swap with others, and go home with a collection of little treasures from friends.

And honestly? Sample sets are perfect for this kind of thing.

They’re also a great option when you want to give someone a little something, but don’t quite know which full-size product they’ll love.

✨ A thoughtful hostess gift
✨ A little thank-you
✨ Teacher or coworker gifts
✨ Stocking stuffers
✨ Sunday Swap treasures
✨ Or just a small treat for someone who deserves one

A few little botanical skincare favourites, wrapped and ready to make someone’s day.

Harvest is in full swing around here.

As most of you know, I grow many of the botanicals I use in my formulas. That means I also have to harvest, prepare, and carefully dry the plants, so they’re ready for use.

It’s not a fast process, but it allows me to ensure my products contain high quality ingredients that are never treated with herbicides or pesticides (even organic ones). Because your skin is your biggest organ and what you put on it matters.

FAQ Friday

One of the best parts of bringing Rosemary & Wildflower to local markets and events is getting to meet you in person and let you see, smell, and explore the products for yourself.

If you prefer to shop in person, you can find us at select local stockists in Daysland and Vermilion, as well as at markets and events throughout the year.

Save this post so you know where to find us, and keep an eye out for upcoming market dates. We’d love to see you there.

And if you’re not local, the full product line is always available online.

Back in May, I posted about the colour differences you can see in my products due to the botanicals I use. This is because of variations in the pigments in the plants themselves.

A great example of this can be seen in yesterday’s calendula harvest. The blooms range from soft, buttery yellows to vibrant oranges and everything in between.

FAQ Friday

Where do you make your products?

Every Rosemary and Wildflower product is made in my dedicated studio on our acreage in Alberta.

While you’ll often hear about small businesses making products in their kitchens, that’s something I choose not to do. A kitchen is designed for cooking, gathering, and everyday life—all things that can increase the risk of cross-contamination.

Having a dedicated workspace allows me to follow Canadian cosmetic regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), which are a set of guidelines for keeping products clean, organized, and consistently made. From sanitizing equipment to carefully documenting each batch, every step is there for a reason.

It’s not the most glamorous part of running a skincare business, but it’s one of the most important—and it helps ensure every jar and bottle is made with the same level of care and consistency.
