Inside peek at what K-tips look like when they are freshly installed and done correctly. The first four slides show my work and what you should expect from a proper install. Your K-tips should:

• Allow 360° mobility
• Sit comfortably without being tight to the scalp
• Have bond colours that match your natural hair
• Appear smooth and compact, similar to a small pearl or grain of rice

The final two slides show examples of what K-tips should *not* look like. This is not my work, but it’s important education. Your hair and scalp health matter!

Why does precision matter with stitching?

Sloppy stitching can lead to an uncomfortable wear time for your client, and may cause hair breakage or even tension alopecia. Knowing exactly where to begin your stitching, and when to use a single or double thread, is what separates a hairstylist who “does extensions” from a true extension specialist.
